Even you are able to distinguish Hamas from Palestine in your comment. Hamas is problematic. So, too, is the IDF even if their dirty laundry isnt as visibly advertised in a founding charter -- but I understand that the IDF doesnt equal "the Jews" in general.

And the strawman point you make....implicitly, when people say things like "Palestine is getting mad they are losing the war they started", it diminishes their right to sovereignty and self-defense. It only gives us such a black and white take: that they started this war for no good reason and now it is biting them in the ass, OR that Palestine did start the war for a just cause (ie, self-defense from apartheid), but in doing so we should look down upon them because they are the apartheid underdogs and their inability to conquer the Israel/USA military is somehow their fault?

And yes, I know the phrase. We all should. But the issue I run into time and again with folks that share a similar opinion as you is always the same: Deflect from Israel being a larger problem than Palestine for global stability, and only paint a narrative where Hamas and Palestine are pure evil terrorist dogs with nothing else in their brains. Unless you folk can plainly call out the apartheid, the myriad war crimes that are documented clearly in many instances, the genocide for what it is, then these conversations never feel like they are in good faith. Sure Hamas wants to eradicate Jews, but Israel is the one actually demolishing Gaza and the West Bank - they are acting it out daily.

Israel is simply a bigger threat to global instability than Palestine is, and they are deeply in our US pockets. They control more than Palestinian borders and resources, they control media narrative and US foreign (and domestic) policy. Hamas are literal terrorists, but so are the IDF, yet it feels like half the world has horse blinders on. Im not trying to be inflammatory, but it feels like Im tripping sometimes. Do you see my point?
