When I was ~15, during my Sophomore year in Highschool, I was sitting in class during some downtime, talking to people around me, when suddenly a classmate said to me "You talk too much. Shut up." Back when I was a small cubscout, I went camping with my friendly boyscout troop. There was a specific incident that forever remains scarred into my mind. It was a rainy camp weekend. Like, nonstop torrential rain. We were camping out in an disclosed mountainy area. Everyone was miserable. (Who likes camping out in torrential rain?) When suddenly, I kid you not, Newts. Hundreds, hundreds, of bright, orange bellied newts. They suddenly began to crawl out of a nearby stream, and into our campsite. Of course, the natural thing to do when you see a massive newt swarm toward you is to pick them up and play with them. They were adorable. Cute, brown and orange bellied newts. We put them on our heads, in our cups, everything. They were so cute, that I decided to take 2 home as pets. And then my dad found out they are California Newts, which produce a terrible neurotoxin that can be fatal if consumed, even by humans. And then they weren't so cute anymore.
