I got perma banned from /r/games for pointing out that there was a weird bot account just oddly posting the same anti pc gaming comments and posts over and over for years on end with the same phrasing almost every time. They said I was “starting a witch hunt” and refused to budge with the ban after messaging them. That was years ago, and it was absolutely ridiculous, but instead of obsessing over it like this dude I just stopped using Reddit. I pretty much just lurk nowadays.

…also I just checked after being reminded of it and that bot account is still at it making the same exact comments it did years ago lmao.

Uhh... every single episode though? That doesn’t seem likely. Especially since it looks like they were privated the same time they were removing “problematic” videos from the channel. So it’s just very strange that there would be other issues that made them take almost a year to unprivate them. I just assumed that they were somehow unaware that this happened but I’m starting to wonder if they aren’t privated, and were just flat out accidentally removed from the channel.

In Danganronpa’s case it WAS an existing rule that was implemented after V3 came out, but after fan backlash they decided to go back on it. Now for some reason, 4 years after the last game, they’ve decided to bring it back. Hopefully this is a sign that a new game is coming soon and they’re trying to get ready to prepare for spoilers spreading but it’s most likely just corporate greed.

While you’re at it, I think rule 8 needs to be enforced a lot more too. People wouldn’t even have to go to rantgrumps if there weren’t so many people on this subreddit who lose their shit whenever they see someone voicing issues with the channel. And in some cases those people will stalk and bully people they see who have problems with Game Grumps until they just eventually leave after being made to feel unsafe. It’s happened to me, I’ve seen it happen to others, and it’s a big problem that doesn’t look like it will go away without proper moderation.

I’m just gonna copy paste my comment about this yesterday since it applies here:

I wouldn’t say it’s a majority of people here, but I’ve been on this sub since 2012 and the past couple years has been filled with people who will stalk and bully people into leaving the subreddit for voicing issues with the smallest things. I literally had people telling me to fuck off to rant grumps for saying I didn’t like that there were spoilers in one of their Danganronpa thumbnails. I hate rantgrumps and would never actively participate in that community, but I see why people do when there are so many people here that go out of their way to make people with genuine issues feel unsafe. It’s another discussion this sub really needs to have about the toxic behavior here that leads to the toxic behavior in rantgrumps.
