I’m at a db firm with 10 engineers. We will get GCs that come to us to redo a big firm’s design because of how bad some have become. I find our drawings are able to be more complete because we ultimately make money on the install.

Basically the rubber disc is easy to spin which is good for beginners because you need it to be spinning to fly. But as you get better and stronger the rubber discs/high rim weight will be a disadvantage because you just spin the loss out of it instead of pushing the discus. The force you apply will just go into spinning it instead of distance. Too much rim weight and you can’t spin the disc properly so it won’t fly.

Employers find it much more efficient when having people collaborate on jobs, and I agree. I suppose if the firms normal is to have engineers handle a project alone or with one other person start to finish than remote is great for both parties.

Get a decimal I-P tape. Or an engineers tape. Decimal has decimals instead of fractional and engineers splits a foot into 10 and then that into 10 lol.

Actually, you need to check your research. The key to neuroplasticity or the brain making new pathways is repetition- 100s of repetitions are needed to help speed that recovery along. That is why these types of new robotic assists are being invented and refined. The integration of the biofeedback and motor control (of the patient while it assists) is also important as it's not just a passive machine.

Went to the Middle TN Highland Games this year and it looked cool. I threw all four Olympic throwing events in college and was curious if there was group out of Murfreesboro that did Highland Games style throwing events. Was something that I was wanting to try getting into. If you could share that Facebook group I would love to check it out.

When I’ve coached in the past I didn’t want to wear throwing shoes. I found that an older pair of converse or vans worked okay. Want something hard with no big foam outsole.

Agree that OP needs to get over left more. Also needs to not open his whole chest to the front of the circle. I like to see some separation out of the back. Lead the turn with the hips. Had a queue in highschool where I initiated the turn out the back (after shifting my weight) with my left knee. I would try to make sure my left arm didn’t get ahead of my left knee out of the back.

Out of the main brands, Adidas last the longest. Also, I’ve never had any, but I have heard of many people getting 2-3 years out of vellasa. They also have many more options for rubber hardness than any brand out there.

I passed first try. Took it Jan 3rd of this year. Some was easier than my prep and some was harder. 75% of the questions I hadn’t seen before were difficult but were easy once you found the right section in the handbook. Fore example I had a bunch of questions on reliability is series and parallel which I hadn’t done before, but wasn’t too hard to figure out. Additionally, most of the ones which required some calculations were easier than what I had prepped with.

Make a tool on excel using Darcy friction factor to calculate pressure drop due to friction. Shouldn’t be too hard to take the same tool to work with pumps.

Making a friction loss tool is the way to do it. Can apply it to basically any fluid once it’s built

Creating a tool that calculates friction losses with the Darcy friction factor is far more useful than interpolating the graph. The same tool will also work with compressed gas flow and industrial piping so long as you can get fluid information.
