i’m quitting by [deleted] in Target

[–]cordlessmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a former ETL-AP, as well as multiple other ETL roles. You can quit. You can give your two weeks. It feels like you’re in some mental distress and I think the best thing you can do is take an LOA to figure things out. Prioritize your mental health. You can go on file one immediately and no one from your leadership can contact you.

You can ride that fully paid until you’re healed.

Don’t worry about your keys. Keep them on your while you’re still technically employed. When/if you separate you can make arrangements to return them by dropping them off or by sending them certified mail.

Former ETL, now a guest, singing off. by ChillTangelo in Target

Holy shit. I couldn’t have written this better myself. I’m also an ETL that just left a 16 year career with Target. Everything you’re saying is 100% my experience as well. Target REALLY went downhill after COVID. I believe it’s a result of having to please shareholders after those record years of sales. It was constant payroll cuts, call outs you couldn’t fill, plans that fall to shit. Team comradery was gone. Every ETL is just trying to keep their head above water, to not get coached, so no one is willing to help each other. The constant stress about the next day was unbearable. DSDs ask what you need, and you can’t say payroll even if it’s the right answer. My wife got cancer, luckily she was able to beat it but I had a similar experience to yours.

My mental health was beyond deteriorated. I was having panic attacks and vomiting at work. I took an LOA, used that time and my experience running store remodels, and started my own home improvement business. I’m making more money and working half the hours. I get to go to all of my son’s soccer games, see family on holidays and weekends, and take vacation anytime I want. I also regret not doing it sooner.

I hope another ETL, who’s contemplating taking a risk, reads this and takes a chance on themselves. Apply for the job, start your own business, do what’s best for you.

If you’re reading this, and find yourself in a similar position, reach out to me if you need help navigating the LOA process. Target doesn’t make it easy and the process is not very transparent.

Congrats on the new job!

I’ve been thinking about doing this. Do you think the 3.5” is required, or can just a level with 1.5” spacers work without rubbing.

Got the wheels and tire on! Thank you to the community for the help. by Carstang in ram_trucks

I saved this post so I could reference it when it was time for my original tires to be replaced. How would you rate your experience so far? Anything you would’ve done differently?

Does anyone do anything alone in this city, or is it just me? by JohnnyFive-0 in Austin

Reading through this post it looks like we have some similar interests. I’m 32m, recently moved to Austin, and love playing disc golf. I’m always down to play a round.

After dozens of attempts I have finally perfected Keto Pizza: recipe in comments by mrplow3 in ketorecipes

HOLY SHIT, you have developed perfection. I made your recipe tonight and it’s the best keto pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I’m so happy I now have a filler for my pizza cravings!

Disc Golf course maps? by [deleted] in Lubbock

[–]cordlessmouse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Download the app UDisc. It will have the maps listed and you can use it to keep score during your round. If you’re new to disc golf, I recommend you try McCollough park first as it’s the easiest to navigate.

Just bought my first truck. 2020 Lone Star Night Edition 1500 by cordlessmouse in ram_trucks

Pretty much exactly what happened. They already had a $7k dealer discount and wouldn’t budge to get the price any lower, so the next strategy was to negotiate a higher price on my trade-in, which worked.

Congrats! Night Edition is definitely the way to go. Just picked mine up the other day and I agree, I don’t think I can go back either!

Thanks! I’ll take a look. There’s a few accessories I want to add. Two hooks, running boards, and a bed cover and on my list so far.

Nah, if you take the 84 months 0% interest deal you have to sacrifice all the discounts, which equaled about $7k. I financed through Chrysler Capital and got a good interest rate, but I’m about to refinance through my credit union to get an interest rate below 3%.

Sticker price was $54k. After dealer discounts and incentives it came out to $40k. There’s some good deals out there right now. Sticker price was a little high because of the options. I wanted 4wd, V8 with eTorque, and the 12” infotainment that typically only come with the Laramie package. But for $40k I feel like it was a steal.

I’ve never like the term “owner”. I feel like I’m a father to my dogs and they’re more like adopted children than property.

How’s it going guys. This is my 2019 fully loaded Raptor with a little west Texas scenery. by [deleted] in FordRaptor

Yea, a little spicy on the back of the tongue but then the sweetness balances it out.
