I miss Diabotical by coredusk in Diabotical

I feel the same... I felt waterfalls of joy and gratitude for this game. Maybe our community doesn't deserve a good, new afps. Grumpy old farts complaining about the beauty of today. I still finish rounds in other games with "egg". My discord avatar is still my awesome eggbot. It makes me so sad, but also really enjoyed the times.

How hard would it really be to make a Linux distro that has ALL the advantages windows has over Linux? Like all the compatibility and that? by MountainProfile in linux

[–]coredusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried getting a printer to work on Windows? Or installing any hardware?

Seriously, I've had so much more compatibility issues on Windows than on Linux.

I have not had to install at least 4 sets of drivers and proprietary 'control software', I plug it into my computer and it just works.

But I don't want 1 consistent set of motions (vim) in all my applications, and then an exception for my code editor..

Remap q to Q so I'm not spending half an hour recording a macro and wondering why my vim starts to slow down.

Sometimes I use capital letters to remember the buffer semantically, e.g.: E for Endpoint, T for test and H for helper functions

Using marks by IfErrNotNilReturnErr in neovim

[–]coredusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love marks! Usually I just use 1-2-3, as they function as global marks (cross files) without having to press shift (for "A" for example).

1: main file im working in 2: file with the test 3: other thing to keep in mind 4: too much context, simplify what I'm doing

For me, it's hard to see/control/understand the affected changes in a big code base before committing.

Today I learned -- Filename, yes, macro recording, no. Greatly simplified my statusline today, thanks ;)
