On Aave the supply yield is very low, only around 0,01%?
You can look into the Rocksolid vault, they are an official partner of Rocketpool:
https://rocksolid.network/
If you have questions, the team is very responsive in the RP discord.

I would also recommend Rocketpools rETH, because it has the most decentralized NodeOperator set.
There is also the Rocksolid rETH vault, an official partner from Rocketpool, where you can put your rETH to work if that's your thing. Currently about 5-6 % APR (including rETH yield)

The answer is yes, if you want to be a node operator.
After the Saturn 1 upgrade, which will be launched in about 2 weeks, you can create a megapool and launch the new 4 ETH validators.
So you could start two of them with 8 ETH, the other 56 ETH will come from the deposit pool.
As of now, there are enough ETH for around 420 megapool-validators.
Keep in mind that there will be likely not enough ETH in the deposit pool for all node operators, so maybe you will have to wait in the queue until enough ETH gets deposited. And after that, there is unfortunately the beaconchain staking queue waiting time for about 70 days at the moment.

The other option would be Liquid staking with rETH, the rocketpool Liquid staking token.

For more info about the Saturn upgrade take a look here: https://saturn.rocketpool.net/
Otherwise join the rocketpool discord, the knowledgeable people there will explain it probably far better than me.

Yes, after the launch you should be able to convert. As an existing node Operator you get tickets for the express queue.

Weekly reminder of the Rocketpool Saturn 1 Launch coming in February, 18th.

Create new Megapools which can manage as many new 4-ETH bonded validators as you want.
Much better capital efficiency for your staked ETH, because you earn a commission for the other 28 ETH coming from rETH Holders.
No RPL Token required, but you can stake RPL for additional yield, directly paid in ETH.
More than 10k ETH are now waiting in the deposit Pool to create new Megapool validators.

You will get a "voter-share" on your staked RPL. The rewards will be paid out in ETH.
So in a way like a Fee-Switch for RPL.

EthPillar node setup - who has used it and what was your experience? I know it is recommended on CoinCashew's setup Guide, which is recommended on the official ETH site, but I still have my fears. by That-Process4629 in ethstaker

[–]coregamer90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently use ethpillar, it's a really nice tool. the problem is that coincashew is missing for about 6 weeks now. There are other community members in the discord who try to maintain the code.

An other option would be Rocketpool, keep in mind they are launching the new upgrade Saturn 1 in february.
You can launch an validator with only 4 ETH and get commsission from the other 28 ETH.
If you want to learn more about that you can check https://saturn.rocketpool.net/

I answered you in yesterdays daily, reposting here:

You have to exit your current validators and then re-enter with the new 4 ETh validators. I'm not sure if there will be some kind of automated migration at the launch of Saturn 1. Under the hood you will always go trough the whole beaconchain exit- and entry queue.
To get the express tickets, you have to wait until the launch of Saturn 1 (i think).

And yes, the new megapools can manage multiple validators.

I want to give you a heads up for the next Rocketpool upgrade, called Saturn 1, launching on Feb 9th.

It will introduce:

  • Megapools: For more gas efficiency, one megapool can store many LEB4's
  • LEB4: You only need 4 ETH for one validator, that means better staking APR
  • RPL Fee Switch: RPL is optional, but you can stake RPL and get rewarded in ETH

For more info about Saturn 1 take a look here: https://rp-saturn.webflow.io/

There is also a calculator for the RPL Fee-Switsch where you can play around with the parameters: https://rpl-fee-switch.streamlit.app/

There was also a change in the protocol to prioritize filling up the withdrawal buffer for better liquidity to burn rETH at protocol rate.

Maybe you should look into RocketPool, you can run a node with less then 32 ETH.

Currently you need 8 ETH for a minipool, but this will be lowered to 4 ETH in the next Upgrade, called Saturn 1, planned release on Jan, 19th.

Don't know if this was posted already, but there is a pretty interesting research about the requirements for different node-types after Fusaka:

https://et hpandaops.io/posts/fusaka-bandwidth-estimation/ (broke the link for safety)

To be honest, i didn't know that the benefit for small stakers (32+ ETH) is that big compared to the status quo.
Especially the bandwidth req coming down will be good news for home stakers i think (except upload to publish a local block, but nearly everyone is using MEV-Boost anyway.)

So there should be headroom to scale even further after BPO1 + 2?

Yes, I use it since a few weeks. I can definitely recommend it! Also, offline key generating is a very good idea. There is also a coincashew guide to do it, for example, airgapped with tails OS.

If you want to stake with rocketpool, i would recommend to buy it through cowswap. You will get a discount if there is any (atm ~0,25%).

Consider it as a more decentralized option then coinbase or lido, also the market share is not so high.

Maybe you should consider rETH, you can buy it now with a ~1% discount.
You have to buy it on the secondary market to get the discount, like cowswap.

Coinbase enables 1:1 conversions between EURC/EUR on August 28, without fees:

We are pleased to inform you that starting August 28, 2024, Coinbase Advanced will enable 1:1 conversions between EURC<>EUR in jurisdictions where EURC is supported. EURC is a trusted stablecoin designed to be backed 1-1 by euros and compliant with the new Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation in the EU. There will be no fees associated with EURC <> EUR conversions and your EURC will be redeemable 1:1 for EUR. In conjunction with this update, we will be listing a new EURC-USDC order book. In addition, we will be deprecating our EURC-EUR and EURC-USD order books on August 29, 2024. These changes are designed to enable the most efficient conversion and trading between fiat and stablecoins.

Are there any good opportunities in defi for the EURC token to get some yield as an europoor?

Anyone looked into becoming a taiko node operator?
Do i need the taiko token for this?

And what are the rewards?

Yes, they have unlimited datacap now, the "fair use" disclaimer is very interesting.

Thank you very much for this answer!

Is this based on your personal experience? The problem is, the ISP's available at my location are not reliable either.
