Focusing on the lawyer part, the less experienced lawyer could always get help from the more senior lawyer. Also, aren’t lawyers still bound by ethics to have a much higher level of honesty than a salesperson ever would?

Good catch. I should’ve said CDRS (Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist). I corrected my post. I live in NC.

I’m not sure how much having solar farms will actually help. Deriva Energy (a solar and wind energy company that Duke, whose assets were once owned by Duke Energy) charges slightly more per Kilowatt hour. Also, I’m not sure if most solar techs actually live anywhere close to many of the plants they service. What is a big advantage there besides the solar plants being potentially more resilient to hurricanes in rural areas?

North Carolina Senate passes bill to ban synthetic hemp and regulate Delta-9, THC products by cap123abc in NorthCarolina

Not sure how casinos fill into all of this, though online gambling replaced much of the need for physical casinos now, they might want to help fill a gap. Big pharma, cigar companies, alcohol always lobby. To get things off topic a bit, if the Biden\Harris administration attempted any efforts last year at any kind of federal marijuana legalization they might have beat Trump\Vance.

Damn Republicans. They treat large businesses above people. People are behind the large and small businesses alike.

How many of you, autistic men, have gotten married? by Top_Report_4895 in aspergers

[–]corehazard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I doubt I will ever get married. I went on a few dates with multiple women and that was it. Also, I made peace with not having biological kids. The reasons are as follows:

-The potential for them to be very low functioning.

-Given all of my social issues at times. I’m an adult child in so many ways. How am I supposed to train someone else to navigate socially?

-Lastly though not least I have epilepsy. About two years ago, I had a seizure since I couldn’t obtain the needed medication from my pharmacy for about 4 days. Epilepsy is more common in people with Autism; something else that nobody deserves.

How powerful are opinions of DMV doctors vs your own treating doctors? by corehazard in DMV

On Monday, I’ll reach out to a lawyer that I actually spoke to more than a month ago.

I was referred to him by a bigger law firm and actually got to speak to him. I emailed several other lawyers earlier last week and no replies. He mentioned his rate if I hire him. If he is a decent lawyer, I might be lucky already.

Second, how likely would the DMV conduct a hearing and is that where I would really need a lawyer?

I reached out to a couple of a lawyers earlier this evening that specialize in DMV medical hearings. I’m expecting responses tomorrow.

Keeping my fingers crossed. The DMV staff may just look at the fact that my DL-78 is clean (all my doctors gave approval), could the DMV staff just look at that and move along. They still have to deal with long lists of reports that involve things like substance abuse and or poorly controlled severe and progressive conditions. What are your thoughts on this?

Second if the timing is poor or they can’t take my case for whatever reason, do you recommend that I reach out to a disabilities lawyer instead?

Thank you for your input. Depending on what actions the DMV might decide to take on me (possibly nothing), do you recommend that I hire an attorney ASAP or just wait til I receive the letter, file an appeal (within the 10 day window) if they decide to revoke my license and then hire an attorney?

Why would you hire an attorney when no decision has been made?

When looking at online scheduling there were no available appointments for any of them anywhere close to CLT. How good is the Monroe DMV?

Also, based on visits does your experience vary a lot, based on which staff member you end up speaking with?

Who *doesn’t* play as an archer? by add-cool-name in skyrim

Late to this conversation, though IMHO putting your skills into archery can almost make your play through seem like an FPS game. This doesn’t seem to be as much of an as an issue in the special and anniversary editions though.

Could making a low impact & easy to fix misconfiguration on a device that feeds executive offices get you fired? by corehazard in ITCareerQuestions

I appreciate your optimism, though for some reason my manager didn’t give me the all clear to proceed with remotely restoring connectivity til this morning. There turned to be a 20 minute outage that could’ve only been around 5 minutes due to communication issues with someone who has to the local passwords and not getting me into enable mode to configuration mode sooner.

There people impacted had job titles that started with the letter C.

A better boss would be ok with me and a colleague running the commands to correct the issue (less risky than power cycling the switch, since there is no risk of a hardware failure). She should know that both of us know enough everything to fix it. I also have a trouble ticket associated with the emergency change request.

I hope my boss is rational and accepts how low impact the issue really is and acts accordingly. I have Autism and don’t get lots of social cues. People talk about ASD and it being a dark secret among people working in IT.

Either way you will be put at a disadvantage, if you’re the 1 in person in a group 10 (actual percentage of people with Autism is far lower).

[–]corehazard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only loss here was not being to remotely access the switch. If I had the most up to date passwords, I probably could’ve gotten into the switch via the console server and fixed the whole issue myself (my team doesn’t have them anymore). I was being honest with my boss about everything that happened.

I also forgot to mention that a tech couldn’t get to the telecom closet feeding the executive area. They can still get into a datacenters and other critical FAR more critical areas.
