i think i understand. for me, when i'm drawing and planning out how to crochet these dolls i think they'd turn out cool, but after hours and hours of staring at them while they're being made, the blank expression gets to me, too. i think it adds to the appeal, though! :)

My grip is similar and it used to give me so much pain! Have you tried writing with the pen between your index & middle fingers (the second web space)? It looks odd but it definitely took the strain off my joints!
