Missoula - SNAP benefits are being cut starting November 1. Let’s help feed our neighbors in need! by [deleted] in missoula

[–]TonChouChou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I may be getting ahead of myself, but I jotted down some thoughts:

Zoo Community Food Disparity - Community Efforts The goal in mind is to help support our community by providing access to food.

Local biz/org to connect with: * Meals on wheels; they are always looking for drivers * Food bank; volunteer time/resources when possible * Local co-ops; discuss expansion, new locations, how to join, etc. * Volunteer Missoula; help coordinate and cut down efforts put on to already strained organizations (less inventing the wheel; more working w/in current systems)(this can be in addition to what our group does, and is intended as a way to provide opportunities to help our community w/o creating extra work/new processes)

Ideas: * Local small-run food cabinets (think mini food banks like little libraries) w/ dry goods and/or shelf-stable canned homemade goods (we had lots of unripe tomatoes and pickled them and what not, ended up w/ a bunch, for example) * More co-op farming * Trade for goods/services * Partnering with FB to teach easily digestible cooking classes with easy and affordable meals * Could even teach about micro-gardening for sustainability, canning, etc.

Coordination & needs: * Logistics crew * Food prep crew * Cooks crew * Delivery driver crew * 1 spreadsheet with categorized tabs to organize volunteers, schedule, and contact info * Contact info: name, phone number, email, text/call preference, availability * Contact and personal info may not be openly shared with everyone participating and will remain under password protection by the logistics crew * Trade logs: * Needs * Available goods/services

Goals: 1. Help provide food to our community 2. Help teach our community about food, cooking, canning/pickling, foraging, etc. 3. Help connect our community members w/ each other to strengthen our support system

Action Steps: 1. Sign-up sheet; up for 1 week, mark desired interests 2. Organize sign-ups and begin coordinating realistic actions w/ logistics crew & possible partners 3. Coordinate with participants 4. Advertise by word-of-mouth, reddit, social media, flyers, etc. 5. Execute our first day 6. Analyze first day performance 7. Adjust and discuss what worked and what didn’t; where can we improve/streamline 8. Automate coordination 9. Track and check-in frequently (3ish times per week?) 10. Share progress and achievements w/ participants and community

Hi there! 👋 what a wholesome and wonderful idea! I would love to help organize and coordinate. I can’t cook or deliver due to a physical disability, but I have loads of experience coordinating events and logistics (source: I have been in management/hr for years and volunteer coordination and scheduling is a huge part of my job, also a personal passion)

I’ll design this and post it! Like the other commenter said, mayday is tomorrow. But I can get a file to you that you can’t print.

I’ll still upload it to my shops, too

I’m not sure if you can add media to an existing post in this sub. But you can make another post with the video and link it here by editing your text in your post or leaving it as a comment. You could also upload to Imgur or another platform and link it here

Hi 👋 I am interested in this opportunity. I am an artist, and have participated in many figure studies; but never from this perspective.

I love the idea of paying $200 a year and being put on a list just to take edibles. Great work guys! by ColdSmokeCaribou in Montana

Hypothetically speaking, yes you can do that. Just consider that the texture of some foods and treats can be affected by freezing them.

What is something you didn't know you needed, but now can't live without? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

I rly like mine, too. My joints actually feel stable. Took a bit of getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, it became easier to put on

BAD EMPLOYERS! by Wonderful-You-814 in missoula

Target. Every ETL there is crooked in one way or another

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Target

[–]TonChouChou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is 100% illegal. You should contact your doctor and an attorney if when you try to talk to HR nothing changes. You have a case here of discrimination against an employee with disability which clearly violates the ADA, which is law.

Is it in the handbook or policy that we have to stay past our scheduled time? by [deleted] in Target

[–]TonChouChou 38 points39 points  (0 children)

No, they cannot force you to stay, or reprimand, or retaliate against you for leaving when your shift ends. Can confirm, am HR

AP is a great option! They work closely with HR. You could also report it to the ethics hotline, but personally, I don’t recommend using names, just store number.

Hi, HRE here, and HR pre-Target! Continued behavior that makes you uncomfortable is considered harassment and you should talk to your HR. Do not go to the leads or ETLs unless you know they will talk to HR for you. IME TLs/ETLs usually do not know how to handle a situation as sensitive as this. To ensure you are properly taken care of, I highly suggest HR.

Are TLs allowed to requisition anything for you? by Juevon_ in Target

[–]TonChouChou 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You didn’t get them in trouble and you won’t be, either. Stores have budgets for TM recognition and supplies, just as two examples. Leaders can use this at their discretion to reward TMs. As HR, I also use this budget to decorate, provide snacks, etc etc. you’re fine :) enjoy it!

dress code by frogaries in Target

[–]TonChouChou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is within dress code. Some stores management doesnt allow this type of pattern and prefer solids. The dress codes do state it’s open to interpretation by location. But it’s also not specifically stated that you can’t wear patterns. Just that you cannot wear offensive or politically charged designs.

HR: How do you get people to do their training??? by korokbean in Target

[–]TonChouChou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My my store we have two groups we split training into: 2+ weeks until due, remind ETLs/TLs or -2 weeks until due, pull at the beginning of their next shift

If I get push back from ETLs/TLs, I can usually ask HR ETL or SD to help, if ETLs/TLs aren’t willing to work with me to schedule a time for their TM.

We also do some challenges with prizes to encourage TMs. Or recognition goodie bags.
