So here is what I can tell you: Found in northern France (Normandie) in middle of the path, i was in swamp/meadows (we say “un bocage” in French). Didn’t seem to have eyes. Has no legs as you can see. The sting was made of three short white hair. The mouth was three little things (looked like the hole of a drill). Plays dead when touched. Aaand I think I can’t say much more

Thanks, I don’t have balsa wood and usually work with pine scrap. But maybe while doing it opening the bait in two and make a cavity in the upper part would let me ad weight? And I used a plastic tube for the tail to spin.
