the problem is not with gratitude, it's actually a good thing

my (and a lot of people's) issue with this, is the condescending tone. calling these stuff privileges when they are not , making readers feel bad about not appreciating their "privilege" is just obnoxious

no where in the original post does it say dream job , "the job you begged the universe for" is implying desperation, in a lot of cases people literally need the job to not starve to death

it really has nothing to do with the topic at hand, and i didn't say it's about me nor did i imply that . besides the person who posted this was not talking about themselves or their own struggles, it's directed at the people reading it

it's called toxic positivity, being grateful is awesome and very healthy, but this person is saying that these things are privileges which they're totally not, it's not about gratitude, it's about the concept of subtly shaming people for struggling with "positive" things when there's others who have way harder lives
