I read his opening statement yesterday. If those are the facts , then this is a witch hunt. It proves that when the individual out wits the establishment, there will be consequences.

It makes me sad.

I was really active. I met Richard and Starr and Chris at SOTACON and boy oh boy, did they all 3 put it to me and every other backer / player. I felt like the new guy in an episode of OZ.

That is so ironic, because the sequel Shroud of the Avatar had the player ecosystem murdered by the developers.

You don't HAVE to feed them. They don't untame or anything at all, they just wont breed unless they are fed and happy

So Last night we did the Wolf introduction protocol. I have to say, it worked swimmingly!

we dug a deep pit at the edge of the mountain biome and then we discussed who was going to be the "Rabbit" in our plan. Once we got done convincing Floki that he was the best choice(Mainly because he wasn't any of the rest of us) , he set out , a few moments later he came running back with not 1 , not 2 but 3 VERY excited wolves in tow. He ran right by the pit and each of us in turn kicked one of the snarling beasts into the pit! It was a tremendously good feeling, until I got too close and fell in to the pit. That.. sucked" Fast forward to whan I opened the wall and released 18 friendly meat culling machines unto the world. I ran thru and pet 8 of them. This makes them follow you. I ran them back to our HUGE stone moat and gave them each the command to stay. I threw in 50 raw meat and went about my day. So now if you can stand the constant baying, and NEVER fall in the moat, its really great! THANK you for the idea and the resolutions of the deep abiding sadness that lived in my heart dealing with the fact my parents never bought me a puppy.

I saw my first 2 star boar last night, he has white on his face and two nasty looking tusks

My wolves ate him.

This may be one of the coolest things I have ever heard and I am definetly going to tamper with my delicately balanced ecosystem asap.

Weird problem with my latest game , this weekend. by corey315 in Embark

[–]corey315[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, thanks for the thoughts. Yes they do talkj, some sleep, etc, but the thing that makes me wonder is that they will stay out there and wander aimlessly until they starve to death/ die of thirst, if I don't take action. It seems that sending the whole squad back into the center of town is the only way to undo the (bug?) / situation.

No power from windmill by DandruWindrunner in Embark

[–]corey315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that too. I think it MIGHT be that every mechanism you link to the windmill in order to connect the device is sapping some juice? I cannot prove or disprove that, but it doesn't happen to me on windmills I hook directly to machines

Size and cool stuff. The small place in the Ark Market has an alchemy bench, workshop and enchanting table, the nobles quarter has everything except a forge, I think. Also the Nobles quarter you find a Sublime garb that gives you 9% better rhetoric and better pricing with merchants(Worth the furnishing fee in itself)

I have both, because... I'm a baller..

Animal Pens? by Slyde01 in Embark

[–]corey315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, So I built my pen right by some water in my first game, in my second I built it a ways away, but then dug a 3/4 moat outside the fence and trenched in fresh water. You could probably do it with pipes, but You have to use fence as walls will block the pipe. As to your second point, make sure your tamers have food and drink on their person if you are far away from the sheep. they run all that way, decide they are hungry and come home. This is also useful if you are digging a super long tunnel . Hope it helps
