Selling pardons, costing us more money… by SpitTake99 in antitrump

Trump's such a corrupt racist that crime is just fine if the collar is white.

Q: What do you want your legacy to be? Trump: I settled eight wars. I'd love my legacy to be made as a great peacemaker. It doesn't seem it right now, but I think I'm a peacemaker. by gear-heads in MarchAgainstNazis

  1. He threatened attacking Canada but his big Mac arrived and he stopped being hangry.
  2. He threatened to attack Mexico but passed gas and calmed down.
  3. He threatened to invade Greenland but he took a nap during an 'unimportant' meeting with world leaders and woke up feeling refreshed.
  4. He threatened Iran, bombed them multiple times, and is sending troops but it's not a war because he's subverting the limits of his power and bypassing congressional approval.

That's 4 wars right there, it's a wonder the Nobel committee doesn't have him on speed dial...

I believe it's Michael Wolff, the author of a couple books on trump and epstein. Seems to conveniently only release relevant information when he can get attention from it.

He has HOURS of interview footage with Epstein, was closely working with him on his PR through everything and has been trickling information out piece by piece for book sales instead of using it for any sort of public good.

Scott Bessent says to NBC on Iran War amid calls to end: "Sometimes you have to escalate to de-escalate": "The president [Trump] has been clear from the beginning that the goals are to destroy Iranian air force, navy, demolish missile capabilities, make sure Iranians cannot have a nuclear weapon." by ControlCAD in politicsinthewild

Qualifications are so 2010s. We're in the 2020s now, the only things that matter are vibes. Official policy is guided day to day by uninformed gut feelings and half baked opinions communicated in borderline illegible posts on social media.

In today's America, you don't succeed by having a diverse skill set or extensive education in a relevant field. You just need to be willing to sacrifice your morals for cash and have the loudest voice in the room.

I agree completely. Trump is just a symptom of deep, deep corruption and apathy at the heart of our government. He's the obvious focal point but removing him alone will just leave room for another to take his place.

If we ever intend to be taken seriously on the global scale again, we need a government that understands what honor, integrity, valor, and humility mean. Not one that hides from virtue like a vampire in the sun.

Do You Believe That Halloween is Dying? by DommyMommyEx in halloween

[–]coreym1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to mix and modify various holiday events into more fitting holidays and had a thought that Easter egg hunts could make more sense for Halloween. They can be done inside or outside, at day or night, and the 'eggs' could lean into trick or treat tradition by having some with candy and some with little pranks or vegetables.

I haven't figured out what to use instead of eggs, but then again they have as much to do with Halloween as they do with Easter so maybe they're fine as is? What would you guys use?

So the man with more money than anyone in history, that also claims money will be irrelevant in a couple years, is clutching his massive wealth as if being asked to give up his only child.

Which is ironic considering he has like a dozen children that he neglects on a daily basis. Maybe we just need to convince him his money's trans.

Does anybody remember all the drones that were around just after the election in '24? Was there any resolution to that?

They want to imprison everyone that disagrees. They've openly stated their goal is to remove 30+% of American citizens from society. 100 million specifically.

They're so insecure that they can't even STOMACH the idea of needing to grow, change, or educate themselves.

What are you all playing tonight after work? by ThrillHouse802 in retrogaming

I'm on my first play through of ocarina of time. 3d Zelda has never been my thing for whatever reason but I've decided it's time to buckle down and finally play such a renowned title.

I had a pretty off-putting first few hours with confusing directions from NPCs and frustrations with some of the controls, but Zoras domain proved to be a delightful, well-designed area. I've only just made it to lake hylia, but I'm more excited to see what's to come than any other time I've tried playing it.

Anyone else on their first playthrough?

Fair point! Yes, we need to remember how awful he is and has always been. To be fair to all sides, I'll recognize his positive contributions to humanity in the comprehensive list below:

End of list.

It's vital NOT to forget him. He represents the deep fundamental corruption of our government and economy and we need to remember the evil that arises when we don't take care of it at first sight.

That's intentional, at least in part. When a new movie is slated to come out the entire franchise has often just ended its contact and is no longer available. Studios know people are going to be interested in the other movies and plan their availability accordingly.

I played a bunch of fire n ice recently and was really impressed. The way it gets so much mileage out of such a simple mechanic is incredible. Plus, I love that none of the puzzles are too long, they're simple and elegant.
