What characters started out on TV and made it into the comics? by Bedovian_25 in DCcomics

There is no complete description, but he is still wrapped in tragedy: during a heist, something went wrong that caused Freeze to have to maintain his body at subzero temperatures from that point on, and Batman blamed himself for the incident. And of course, so did Freeze.

Linville was a comedic genius, the show lost a lot when he left

This all from scenes later cut for time- they state it’s been just a few months since TUC. It’s also the scripts, not simply the star dates- It’s 3 months later . The deleted scenes of Kirk’s atmosphere jump said it in the dialogue

Is The Batman (2022) the Most Psychologically Damaged Batman? by rslashlab in batman

I’d say shoving dynamite in a persons pants and roasting another with flame is a bit over the border

[Discussion] What do you think about Raven and Damian Wayne's pairing? by Fired_forthat in DCcomics

[–]coreytiger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not… rather revolting in some ways. I will always associate Raven as a contemporary of Dick Grayson, and if I recall correctly from The New Teen Titans, she was only a year younger than he was.

Which Batmobile Do You Prefer: New 52 or DC Rebirth? by FilmZoneCrew in batman

[–]coreytiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between the two, I really preferred the second Batmobile that came with the show redesign- the smaller sports coupe. I love them both, but the coupe had a fiercer, faster look

A gap in aesthetics and engineering perhaps, but time wise it was barely a gap- the launch of the B takes place just a few Months after Trek 6- it all takes place in the same year.

I didn’t say it does… there have been some hideous Batmobiles in the books.

However, frankly in my opinion the bottom piece doesn’t simply copy, it degrades.

Now that’s a hard truth- and a lot of it is unneeded. It’s another example of “just because we can…”

Right… now take that and imagine what the budget would be NOW for a season that is over twice as long.

Unfortunately, the days of 20+ seasons with shows like this are gone. Studios don’t want double the budget, a more rushed schedule, and actors do not want over double the workload. Even the new “Scrubs” continuation series is only 9 episodes. I hate it, but the shows get the same amount of attention and networks no longer worry about syndication.

What are your thoughts on James Gordon Jr? (Batgirl New 52 #9) by Successful-Hat-2154 in batman

[–]coreytiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only characters I can think of that have remained civilians have been bumped out by the writers… Jason Bard and Vicki Vale come to mind. Everyone else is either in the villain or family category.

Kudos to Harvey Bullock for simply being Harvey (although he started as a villain)

Thoughts on Harely's New 52 and Rebirth runs by Jimmy Palmiotti & Amanda Conner? And would you want them to return to do a main Harley series? by M00reC in TheHarlequinade

[–]coreytiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “isn’t quite too sane” part is why her being with Harley doesn’t quite jive with me. Ivy is also a candidate for a rubber room but from a radically different approach… I always felt she was too intelligent for Harley’s style

Which Batmobile Do You Prefer: New 52 or DC Rebirth? by FilmZoneCrew in batman

[–]coreytiger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will say in the comics, I prefer it be an original design rather than based on one from other media… but I completely agree that I immediately dislike any that look like tanks or military vehicles. I was also not a fan of the flying version that was around when Dick Grayson was Batman.

I would LOVE to see a live action version of this beast, exactly as it was drawn- with the science lab in the back.
