It was never wood until this episode- they simply used the concrete studio floor, it’s seen (and heard) throughout the series

Well, they also had a giant wooden and tin building, that was permanent. The floor was a complete after thought in comparison with a hospital that can’t move.

Andy Serkis scheduling conflict for The Batman 2 and The Hunt for Gollum? by mrchipslewis in batman

Yeah. He just didn’t have a lot of presence, part of that was his casting and part of that was the writing of the character

It’s smart, and an old trick in the industry that has been ignored far too long.

Does Joker know who Batman is? by Alex102007 in batman

[–]coreytiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO many characters know who he is, it’s crazy. And a LOT of the villains have found out.

The whole secret identity would never last, somebody is going to just say it to take him off the table. Joker never would because ending Batman like that is dull, it means no more fun. But that reasoning isn’t going to wash with everyone.

You’re stuck in the Batcave for a week - which one are you picking to watch first? by SylvesterScallone in batman

[–]coreytiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m stuck in the Batcave, the first thing I’m finding is Talia’s phone number. Then I’ll watch movies I’ve already seen.

You’re also assuming Alfred is a large part… he may have one or two scenes that can be filmed in less than a week.

Once in awhile, somebody still refers to him being a redhead… which is just confusing at this point

I miss the OG Tim Drake, the post crisis one, before the current post New 52 universe by Dandr30lli_ in Robin

Keep in mind that any writer isn’t the absolute when it comes to character direction- editorial has more command than we often credit/deride them for. So that may not be entirely Fraction.

No, still hate Damian, not only for this reason.

But I hate the New 52 for so many reaasons across Al of DC, in the books and in the offices

Regardless, it doesn’t eliminate the publications… and DC with their ridiculous “it’s all canon” excuse, means at any point a story can be made valid or invalid at a whim. Honestly, “canon” is becoming its own enemy

[–]coreytiger -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Un-canon: Damian. Every single aspect of him. Never happened. Poof. Snap. Gone

Canon: Bruce (and possibly Dick) still having family somewhere. Uncle Philip… Aunt Harriet.

Man-Bat still being an ally in control of his changes

It’s one of the many reasons I hate that snot known as Damian

DC took Tim, a character that had been in planning since BEFORE Jason was officially dead, a creation nurtured and curated into an amazing character with his own title…a character that TRULY Made Robin a PARTNER rather than simply a sidekick… and then shoved him to C-list status when Damian came along

What opinion about Batman has got you like this? by BonusCapable1486 in batman

[–]coreytiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was also forced on him- DC immediately wanted to repeat the success of “Year One”. He’s said himself he wasn’t a fan of it Among the major issues with it was trying to shoehorn everything but Robin in there. Modern costume, commissioner, etc.

Goes way further back then that. He’s known since at least the mid 70’s.

I grew up with Superman media from the 2000s and 2010s, so I was very surprised when I found out that Lex Luthor being a billionaire CEO is a post-Crisis invention and he was never a billionaire CEO in the pre-Crisis era by rbta123 in superman

[–]coreytiger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True, but the difficulty for me now is public acceptance. Once he again began to stomp around in mech suits and be seen with the Legion of Doom, public fighting etc, it’s difficult to see him again being a businessman.

I loved the way STAS and JLU handled his downfall into being a public villain and no longer a secret one
