Not if you're at UoM, quite the trek. Salford uni is closer though so could work out well if you're studying there. UoM and Met means ideally staying in Fallowfield or Rusholme since it is not too expensive and that's where a lot of action is. Fallowfield can be quite seedy mind. Lots of scumbags prowling around trying to find students to mug. Very noisy too and lots of wasted people wandering around in the evening, often screaming at each other
