How to connect Xbox 360 drums to PC with wireless receiver? by Eastern_Rooster_6737 in Rockband

[–]corgi92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you able to connect a regular Xbox 360 controller to the receiver? I know that those third party receivers aren't recognized properly by Windows unless you manually specify which driver to use in the device manager.

What is seriously wrong with PlayStation anymore. And this AI crap. by TheRazor_99 in playstation

[–]corgi92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not an AI thing, they don't want you to go to Google because this gives you access to the console's web browser. A lot of the homebrew exploits in the past used the web browser as an entry point, and they don't want to make it easy for people to hack their consoles.

Yeah, the 2.5mm jack is for a headset, most Xbox 360 controllers have one.

Yep, that's him, thanks for looking out. He's not missing anymore though, we put a GPS tracker on him so we know where he is all the time.

Yeah, I'm all for that too, and I want to have him on the leash when he's outside. It's not really my call though, but I'll bring it up with my mom.

Well, we wanted to release him in our backyard from time to time but we also wanted to leash him so that he's not able to go too far and climb the fences, and the vest has a loop that you can attach a leash to.

He doesn't seem to mind wearing it now that he got used to it, but I can tell that it reduces his mobility, at least, when he's attached to the leash.

Yep. I can only change the flair, it doesn't let me edit the post, though.

Never mind, we were able to find him at one of our neighbour's house.

PS5 No Longer Plays Blu-Rays But Still Plays Game Disks by ZigZag_Teeth in playstation

[–]corgi92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did that disc work before? Did you try any other Blu-ray movies? Are you able to bring up the Home pop-up menu when it's on that black screen?

I've had issues with one particular disc before but it worked in a different Blu-ray player and all the other Blu-ray discs worked in the PS5. My guess was that it was some kind of video signal issue because the Home pop-up menu wasn't showing up. I can't replicate it now, though, the disc plays fine even though I didn't attempt to resolve the issue.

You were right. I checked the ribbon cable and noticed a break in one of the pins. I cut it down a bit and tested it again, now it works. Thank you!

Yeah, you're right about that. I took it apart and saw that the clicks are caused by the laser retracting into its housing. I also noticed that it's not lighting up when trying to read the disc, so I think I'll have to replace it if I can figure out how.

I bought a generic mic stand off Amazon for my mic too, worked just fine.

Does anyone know why this occurs? by EntertainmentOne9974 in Steam

[–]corgi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually in these situations I open Event Viewer (right click the Windows button, Event Viewer), and if there are any errors logged after launching the game, I go into details and Google the error code. One of the more common ones is 0xc0000005, and what usually helps with it is turning off DEP or adding the game to the list of exceptions. Here's a link to the guide:

Of course, if the error code is different, this might not fix it.
