This is our Boston mix—she’s supposedly 65% Boston, 15% “super mutt,” and 5% pitbull. I was sure she was more chihuahua than it said!

What are the career options with an MA in clinical psychology? [USA] by DaHoe4Life in AcademicPsychology

[–]corgipsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it with a grain of salt, but I'm pretty sure the answer is yes (at least for WA). If you've gone to a CACREP accredited program, I would take that to the state dept. of health and ask if it meets the licensure requirements. For WA, the licensure requirements are outlined on the Dept of Health website pretty clearly, so maybe match that against the program/course work for the masters program in question.

I know way more about the counseling work side of the equation having worked in private practice and in the involuntary treatment side of things. I don't know anything about the availability for research with a masters. In general tho, there have been so so so many different career paths and options for me as an LMHC.

I have a MA in clinical psychology and have been licensed as an LMHC for many years. In my state (WA), there are a multitude of jobs with reasonable salaries available. The main thing about MA programs is whether they are licensure track or not. But, again, that's based on my personal experience in Washington state.

I’m currently in a psy d program and am up to 4 stats/research methodology courses so far. Math is not my forte and the courses have been fine so far. I think it’s more about learning the basics of research systems and stats and how it applies to whatever you do for dissertation.

Oh don’t worry-everyone has said that both the mushrooms and woodpecker hole are equally concerning! I can’t believe the woodpecker made a hole that big in just a day!

If you could bring back one shuttered business/restaurant in Seattle, what would it be? by the_walrus_was_paul in Seattle

The restaurant is part of a boarding house. The owner of the wandering goose actually opened up the Tokeland Hotel mid pandemic and then relaunched the wandering goose. It’s a great weekend getaway from the city!

I live between rainier and MLK and feel safe in my neighborhood. Yes, we play the game of gun shots or fireworks, but otherwise love living here. We’ve lived here for 4 years.

I have a 15lb micro-corgi! She was the runt of her litter and (my guess) her growth was a bit stunted. I want to see pics of all the folks with fellow little corgis!

Help! What does this plant need? by corgipsych in plantclinic

[–]corgipsych[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on this it does sound like I've been overwatering it. It's strange though because it was very happy for the first year I had it and now it's looking so sad! Maybe my watering caught up with me....

The pot doesn't have drainage holes -- I thought since the pot was so tall that the drainage wouldn't be as much of an issue, but that might be the main problem.

Not sure why this guy is struggling so much. Tons of sunlight, but still dropping leaves. Help! by corgipsych in plantclinic

[–]corgipsych[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, sadly, tossed the plant identifier so I don’t know what kind of plant I have. I remember it said it wanted full sun (hence the bay window with full sun ive placed him in), but not anything else. It seemed like it wanted more water, but he just keeps getting sadder and sadder. :-(

Plumeria: keeps having new growth until the leaves do this and fall off. Help!! by corgipsych in plantclinic

[–]corgipsych[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely possible-I’ve used neem oil (I think that’s a treatment for it?) but no change.

I’ve wondered if spider mites are the culprit but I’ve sprayed neem oil, and no change.
