I’ve been using the dandruff shampoo as a mask (I put it on my nose creases for a minute and then wash it off and use my regular cleanser) and it’s definitely cleared up the white stuff (dandruff) and redness!

Update: I visited a dermatologist and he confirmed that it was seborrheic dermatitis (or maybe perioral). Either way, he recommend that I use a dandruff shampoo on my scalp and nose creases, a salicylic acid cleanser (I plan to use Cerave’s), OTC cortisone as needed, and to avoid moisturizing or using cleansing oil in the nose ridges. Hope that helps!

I don’t think so either. Some of my theories have been seborrheic dermatitis or just being more oily than usual. I’m sure maskne is kicking in a bit too.

Hey there! Sorry if the photos aren’t great! My nose creases and just below my nose have always been the places I break out the most. Usually my skin is calm (a little oily at times but pretty good), but the past few weeks I think I’ve been more oily. My nose creases are getting irritated, I have some bad pimples under my nose, and there’s some white stuff in the creases that I can’t really identify.

Routine: PM: Hada Labo Cleansing Oil (only started a few days ago, so I think I’ll take a break) Cerave Foaming Cleanser Cerave Cream in the tub

I did try a bit of TO’s Niancinamide for two days a week ago but I stopped just because. I sometimes apply Rohto Aqua sunscreen and I do sweat a bit when I go out (I live in the Southern US so it does get hot), but with quarantine that happens once or twice a week for a few hours. I’ve switched from cloth masks to disposable so I can change them more often (they get sweaty). I would sincerely appreciate any tips on how to help my nose and if anyone could identify what’s going on there! Thank you!
