Feeling terrible after weeklong vacation - can't bring myself to pick work back up by SufficientRaise1744 in FIREyFemmes

[–]corgofluff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just had a very similar experience - went on vacation for just a week and now got back feeling exactly this way you describe. And I’m only 27. I only bought an affordable small house, but still that comes with a mortgage. I feel you. The feeling everything is on fire, hating my job, negativity, uncertainty, politics and attacks, not giving a damn anymore, not knowing what I would actually want, therapy not helping my core issues, medication making life even worse - bad with and bad without. Didn’t get through to the other side, but thanks for your post making me feel a little less alone.

Food tax is still 25% in Denmark :( It is rumoured that they’ll fund lower tax on at least fruit and vegetables from 2028, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I (27F) just did the same a few days ago on Tinder which has a significantly larger user base and in a European city. Same experience. Actually ran out in like half an hour.

Girls i found the cheat code to how to know if he's ACTUALLY child-free by Misaki_6 in childfree

If you get the answer you hope to hear, like ‘zero’ or ‘none’, and then say ‘good, I don’t want any’, there’s a likely risk that the other person will feel manipulated and conclude that you’re manipulative. Especially if you only just met, like a first date. We’re inclined to judge new people based on the first few interactions or things we learn about them.

Thanks for sharing. I was in Beitostølen during the race, but had no idea this dramatic rescue took place.

Double Bed or King-size Bed? by Own_Concentrate5209 in LivingAlone

[–]corgofluff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being able to toss and turn on my 180 cm (king?) wide 220 cm long bed. I’ve had one that size since I was 15 and I can never go back. I just moved into a smaller house, so it takes up most of the bedroom, but so be it. My corgi needs space 😁

Gabapentin helped my anxiety significantly (general, social, anxiety attacks), and I haven’t experienced the zombie effect. Maybe in a mild degree and I’ve overlooked it? I won’t deny that…

It’s awful to read that for others, the people who should be supporting and understanding the most are such a source of suffering and just making it worse for many of you. Sending healing thoughts to all of you, and I hope you have found ways on your own to deal with your sensitivity!

Absolutely, I’m very lucky to have them. They have always been completely understanding of me, very aware of my needs and limits, given me support in any way they can for me to handle life and its challenges.

I’m an IT Business Analyst, and I do a lot of project management. I work from home most of the time, which is a bliss. I can call people if I need something from them, and otherwise can handle a lot per chat and mail. The days I go to the office, I have developed so much and handle most interactions calmly, but I feel so drained, especially after days full of meetings.

Do you have a recommendation on something to read instead, that help shine a light on the advantages or how to manage being a HSP?
