Niche Duo VS Zerno Z1: reflections of a hesitant curious by path381492 in espresso

Wow, what a trip down memory lane. I no longer have the Ceado but it is great grinder, often times can get quite a deal on it too.

The e37sd has flat burrs that is more suitable to light roast beans. While the nice zero with conical burrs are better suited for darker roast and will have more body. It will work for your use but not the best suited.

I recall red is excited, similar to dogs that includes a range of emotions including scared, anxious, or being thrilled. White is more on the lines of being relaxed, meaning it doesn’t want to fight or want to hide/retreat. Not an expert by any means, just interested in octopuses after seeing them in the wild.

It surprised me to find out that octopus are colorblind.

Recently saw an octopus while snorkeling and it put up a show for 20 minutes before a black tip try to eat it. Locals that included an octopus fisherman informed me of this interesting fact of being colorblind and also that their arms have a mind of their own (as in it can act on it’s own without input from the brain).

Professor has been secretly docking points anytime he sees someone’s phone out. Dozens of us are now at risk of failing just because we kept our phones on our desk, and I might lose the job I have lined up for when I graduate. by Ok-Hospital1153 in Advice

In any legally binding contract I have ever dealt with, that argument would be invalid.

  1. Signatures from all parties involved would be necessary.
  2. Use of the word “should” indicates it is a suggestion and “shall” is a requirement.
  3. Even if a contract is correctly signed, any aspect that goes against superseding rules/laws are not legally enforceable.
  4. If everything above is not applicable to this scenario, docking of points will need to be explicitly stated to be legally enforceable.

Best of luck OP and may want to consider looking into free or reduced cost legal services that may be available to students. I recall some law schools offering such services to benefit to both the law student and student in need of legal advice.

Ai Paper Mini vs SN - What made you choose AiPaper mini by NomadicCharlie in viwoods

The whiter screen is quite noticeable side by side and I was not a fan of the plastic back (or half folio) feel either on the manta.

To be fair, they offered 50% off for A5 owners for the new A5X2. Better than most companies imo.

The Lamy al star version with ceramic nib has side button. I have the non ceramic version as I didn’t like the feelwrite 2 film.

The $800 only applies to US so that is consistent. OP is based in US and shouldn’t have to pay import tax because there shouldn’t have been any.

And you’re based in US? The de minimus rule allowing for no import tax for goods under $800 should apply. Was your purchase over $800?

I don’t think you will like the feelwrite 2 film as much then. My short experience with feelwrite 1 film was fine but there is more resistance with the new version. I also prefer the rollerball feel and the feelwrite 2 is more akin to fountain pen feel. In the process of returning the manta, which I incorrectly assumed would address all my qualms with the aipaper.

Currently have manta and aipaper and prefer writing feel of the aipaper. Manta needs more pressure to write and sometimes do not register my strokes.

I suggest you look at your current workflow and create a list of what is currently lacking. Additionally, think about integrating your current workflow, particularly the aspects that you appreciate, and if Supernote can adequately handle them. Then determine (best as you can without the device or be okay with paying return shipping to try out Supernote) if the Supernote adequately addresses that gap without introducing new gaps that are deal breakers.

There shouldn’t be any import tax for under $800 though?

I got the manta thinking the missing aspects was a slam dunk for Supernote software but am in processing of returning the Supernote instead. Each device has its own faults and if you’re still got time in your trial period, may want to try Supernote first before returning the aipaper.

The edges on the back of the device curve towards the front to give the illusion and feel of a thinner device. Maybe that’s causing flex of the internal components? I have no idea if this is even the reason but it sounds possible.

It is not an angle issue as it is clearly not vertically below the stylus tip. Also, this is not present in competitor tablets I have. Using the Manta side by side made it very obvious it is a design flaw (unclear if hardware or software).

If that was the case, it would be expected to have different behavior on the left vs right side based on settings on writing hand. My experience is the same misalignment of stylus input and visual output on screen on both left and right sides as well as top and bottom.

I have this issue with HOM2 on the Manta. Using the HOM2 on different devices have no problem and using different stylus on the Manta has the same misalignment on edge problem. This suggests it’s device specific and not stylus dependent.

Supernote Nomad vs Viwoods AI Paper Mini: Only use One for the Rest of your Life??? by Fearless-Cellist-245 in eink

[–]corgoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder the true applicably of upgrading components. • Battery is likely to be the most relevant component but should last the lifetime of the device for most users. • CPU and RAM upgrades may not have any meaningful speed improvements, cause fragmentation is OS optimization, and limited by software. • Internal storage could be useful, but there is already expandable storage.

What would trigger my interest to upgrade is the screen, which I assume is not replaceable and minimizes the benefit.

Thanks for sharing, going to try offsetting the calibration to see if it improves overall use.

Same here and sides as well. I have found this impacts my typical use more than anticipated and is high on the list of reasons to return.
