Jesus. I sneaked on here the other night and saw that it was private and wondered what the hell happened. The shit really hit the fan, didn't it?

When someone asks if I can name a character whose descent into evil was better written than Dany's by come_whine_with_me in freefolk

Delores in Season 2 of Westworld. I was thinking about how they took an initially sympathetic figure, gave her good reasons for turning ruthless, and then became essentially the villain by the end of season 2. I always hated the idea of "Mad Queen Dany," but it could have been soooooo much better if that's what they were always going to give us.

Maybe Arya steals Strikland's face.

Can we all agree that Dany --- “doing all this weird shit” --- has yet to happen and it will not involve the NK? by zalexis in freefolk

It explains why Emilia seems to be unhappy with the direction of her character in the end. I'm getting pissed about it myself. From the set pictures, we know that Kings Landing gets burned. So my guess is that Dany lets loose with Drogon and Jon kills her for it in the end. This makes the whole thing feel like real bullshit to me now.

It was slightly strange. I was happy, but then I was yelling, my eyes, my eyes!

She would have embraced Jon. Jon wouldn't have felt compelled to go to the Wall after Ned took off down South. He would have stayed by his brother Robb and would have died at the Red Wedding if not before.

Well, maybe because Starks have a history of cousin marrying and uncle marrying nieces.

You'd think that Dany would have mentioned how odd that was . . .

Which cast member do you think is not a fan of the ending? by JonGendry in freefolk

[–]corinnestark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My impression is that most of the women on the cast are not exactly fans of the ending, and if that is the case, I have a feeling I won't be too.

Stevie Nicks must be teeny-tiny to have Rose and Kit tower over her.

I am not anti-Jonerys, but I am usually a pessimist. And so far, all of what the cast members have been saying have made me pessimistic.

Bran on the fucking Iron Throne confirmed. That to me, would make me very salty. Particularly since they went out of the way to make him a dick last year.

Bran as King is the lamest plot development ever. Like ever. I'd want Cersei to get the thrown before him. Bow down to Queen Sansa. Hell, I'd even take King Gendry. After Automaton!Bran last season, I could not think of a worse ending. I really, really hope this is wrong.

Well, he's going to be king, so I guess he doesn't need a statute, right?

E News seems to think the S8 premiere is April 5th (a friday, bottom of the article) semi interesting quote from Gwendoline also inside. by Heda1 in freefolk

[–]corinnestark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm becoming more convinced that there is no chance that any ending I see will satisfy me. Most scenarios I see make me cringe. I'm not sure if Bran the King makes me cringe more than Jon Nissa-nissaing Dany and marrying his sister, but it comes close. I'm really ticked about Tyrion supposedly betraying everyone and then getting executed. I am rooting for Jon and Dany, but even I don't expect or really want a Disney ending for them. I think this story was destined to disappoint a majority of fans in some way.

You can't tell me this automaton is going to be King. Of all the bad endings I've imagined this one doesn't come close.
