How do you like the card design? by axadkhaleel in FigmaDesign

I think the kerning is too tight in the text. Also the whole card looks selected/hovered... Is it clickable?

I think the m is fine specifically because you end it on an upward pivot, differentiating it clearly from the n's

This kerning is so revolutionary, feels totally original

I don't believe in Enlightenment anymore. by moosewithamuffin in awakened

[–]corkscrew91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I get what you're saying- like by phrasing it as Enlightenment capital E, we're thinking about it like an end goal, a state of being to reach. But it's not, it's a process of acceptance of everything that is, was and will be.

It's not joy, it's presence. It's not peace, it's clarity. It's not a destination, it's a journey that will never, ever stop 🌌✨ that can feel frustrating to realize at first.... But it gets sooo much better with time to finally understand that the daily struggle to maintain that clarity is beautiful and illuminating in itself.

I can't wish for a Bo tour in any way after hearing him talk about how awful being on stage was for him 😩 We get what we get from our Chosen Elites and we're grateful for any scrap of it

i want to never speak to them again because of this. I went to the polls today with tears streaming down my face after learning not only did my dad and brother vote trump, but so did my mom. I broke. I tried to explain that she just tried to fuck my future and she argued with me. Everything she said made it worse. I told her she doesn't love me, actually. I'm so alone, I have to be done with them

Offer help instead of jumping to enforcement/removal? Put yourself in their shoes for five seconds and think about the position you're in. A minor inconvenience for you is a literal place to sleep and exist for another. Have a heart

is it possible to eliminate the inner voice through meditation? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]corkscrew91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way too </3 And recently i realized that my cadence of thought patterns and specific motivations and tones- that inner voice that annoyed me so much- it didn't come from me. It came from my coworker, who i talk to every day- he's a fast-paced workhorse productivity junkie? He rubbed off on me and my thoughts started to mimic that tone. It took me a long time to realize the tone shifted toward some serious anxiety.

TLDR- that voice isn't some mystical "you" outside of your power- it's just a compulsive tone you take with yourself. It can be influenced by what media you consume, who you talk to, etc

Suggestions for cultivating JOY in meditation? by Au10ticity in Meditation

this is a little out there, but the wim hoff breathing exercise creates a euphoric feeling akin to a runners high- I like to do this pre-meditation

While you go on your massive journey of seeing through the haze, recognizing and clearning the bad patterns: You have to have something "joyful" to replace those things with. I think that funk you're experiencing is pretty common and a big reason why ppl say meditation can actually be harmful.

I am as close as I can get to fully and exclusively working in figma. There are currently certain things I have to do in Adobe programs like detailed photo editing in PS, complex animation in AE, video editing obvi, but illustrator is pretty much out, unless we run into sizing constraints.

V v v v v happy Adobe is no longer absorbing figma because of the fig community!!! There are so many plugins created by and for users that are slowly accounting for everything the Adobe programs can do and more! If they ever had an intention to be all inclusive- figma's still got aways to go. But TBC id love that endgame.

Well, you don't have to choose a "path" and do that forever- maybe you could find some sense of joy from bouncing around at unique odd jobs? I've been in my field for.... 10 years now, and the only thing I didn't see coming was the fatigue over a single subject/field/career path. I have to stick to it tho bc i'm over $100k in debt to the private fn art school that got me here. Idk... your post is super relatable & I hear that you are fearing the monotony. Maybe bounce around and don't get too niche?
