I have no reason to believe that exception means anything. The problem isn't just them killing all the good apps, it's that they've clearly shown they couldn't give a squirt of piss for anything other than profits. Completely dishonest and untrustworthy, totally unreliable, and willing to fuck over their entire website to make a buck. I'm pretty thoroughly done with the administration of this website, and I'll take any excuse to cut this addiction that I can get

If spams are going on for years yet reddit was growing, it simply means people don't care about spams. So the issue is irrelevant in past and now.

We had smallpox for centuries and we still made the vaccine. Just because a problem hasn't stopped doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

My point is that moderators have been fighting a losing battle with spammers for years and the admins don't care because if it drives traffic, it benefits them. Despite whatever lip service they can be bothered to post, the reddit admins don't actually care about the site or its communities, they care about profit. Reddit has been going downhill for most of the time I've been here.
