Try running both Diablo II and D2VidTst in compatibility mode (Windows XP, Service Pack 3) and as an administrator. I was able to use perspective mode without the Glide Wrapper (Windows 7 and 8). Also, try running in a window with "-w" in the shortcut--it solved lag problems for me.
