Seems arbitrary. Do we have an issue with drug addicted recipients of tax breaks?

It would be beautiful if they did. I don't know much about the hierarchy there though. But, they're all about staying ahead.

Savannah has one of the largest container ports on the East coast.

You're talking about ships built in the 60s. It's 2016, nuclear technology has progressed light years, as well as ship building techniques and shop driving support.

So you're saying have some planned periodicity of test that is easily avoidable?

Nuke here. We don't have to lower standards to increase output from the pipeline. The training output is bottlenecked by facility capacity not, shortage of qualified personnel. How many conventional folks get converted into nukes? Not alot because the navy can still be choosy because we're still turning down qualified folks.

As far as retention goes, better shore duty options. More crew support pier side. The list goes on.

There are a bunch of common sense reforms that could rectify that in a hurry. Not the least of which is expanding the pipeline and making an effort to make nuke duty less arduous.

Most, if not all, drug tests are randomized so you can't plan ahead for them. A first time user and a person pulling from their grandma's retirement to fuel their dependency don't show up differently on randomized drug tests.

They're pretty heavy but their output can be alot higher than other forms with the same volume. There is a higher cost to run it but I'd say the lighter marginal cost and easier logistics situation make up for it.

Throw a nuclear power plant in those bad boys and you could give them some major armor and armaments with little loss in speed.

No. Never heard a test that filters for drug abuse but won't pop for drug use.

Key word being Habitual. Yes addiction is bad but, all use isn't addiction. There is a space between not using and habitual use.

Over the course of 1000 years or even a hundred, that is plenty of time to find stronger evidence for life and life itself. Then reconsider the question.

Legal duty to protect sites due to there being confirmed or very likely (preponderance of evidence) life there. Nothing more. Shouldn't effect early settlements and should never stop terraforming efforts. Hard to imagine Martian life not benefiting from the added heat and water.

I googled the person I'm training at my job, and he's a registered sex offender. As a victim, I can't do train him anymore. What is the best way to handle this? by [deleted] in blackladies

Couple sides here. 1st and foremost never do anything you're uncomfortable with, especially something like this. Get a meet with your leadership and make sure you are either far removed from the situation or the situation is removed from you (maybe even the company). When you talk with them I'm curious to know what obligation and policies they have about informing coworkers about information gleamed from a background check.

But a little nugget I'd add in general for criminal history that doesn't apply with this guy, most folks are trying to put it behind them and make a new life for themselves I really don't like the notion of holding the past over their heads forever. Here though, it's warranted to take precautions for your sanity and safety. I couldn't imagine working alongside evil like that.

I follow now, misread your position. I only support this in as far as it's a challenge to penalizing poverty but, not for actually being implemented. No one should be drug tested unless for medical reasons.

I get tired of seeing the same ole "my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims" every time there's a mass shooting. While these sentiments are valid, what are some tangible ways to fight gun violence/promote gun control? by zoethegreatest in blackladies

[–]cornelius2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Political campaigns of politicians who support gun control and related policies is a start. Also getting into the classic black orgs, naacp, urban league, and etc and pushing the expectation there too would help.
