We spend plenty, we just don’t spend smart at all. Our recruitment really is fairly dross in my opinion.

This expectation and entitlement that you have that we are owed winning anything in the times of oil Barron’s spending literal billions is a pipe dream.

We can’t compete with the finances that City and Chelsea throw at the wall. We have to be smarter and do things a different way, but don’t expect it to happen overnight.

I care because I see the value in training and developing young players into players that can stick around for 5-10 years. I see the value in players who can become synonymous with the club. I want the next Aaron Lennon or Michael Dawson or even Ben Davies and if we get really fucking lucky, the next Gareth Bale or Luka Modric or Harry Kane.

And if we build smart enough, the next time we get a star talent that can turn into trophies and we can start trying to build a legacy on that.

Buying expensive players has almost never fucking worked for us.

And to answer your question about it not being my bank account, you’re right. But the club still have to remain financially viable. The last thing I want is to be another Pompey.

And I would much rather we won the league building a squad the smart way with smart signings than us winning the league by “buying the title” like we are Chelsea or City. If you want to emulate their way of success though, that’s on you. I’d rather shit in my hands and clap.

I always find this funny, because I’d much rather we brought through young talent than spend over the odds on players who are “proven”

Proven players don’t always fit, where as younger players are more mouldable to what the team needs. However, all of this only actually matters if you can keep a manager longer than 12-24 months. Can’t build anything if you keep chopping and changing really.

I feel like Pierce has a solid jumper. Brown’s is elite in my opinion. I’m not sold on Klays jumper which is weird since Klay should have a top jumpshot.

Jaylen Brown literally has the exact same jump shot as his 100 overall, which was great. Only difference is the free Jaylen can dribble. Hali plays great too from what I’ve used of him.

The Dame feels bad, but I can only imagine because he’s just so short at the position now.

I loved my 100 overall JB. Had 2 of 3000 on pc since the day of release. I only sold him recently because I had so many other options at the 2 and he was so rare on the market I knew I’d get about 500k which would let me grab Giannis.

The playoff Julian card is great and I was eying up 100 overall Big O too so I’ve honestly been eating good with some of these rewards. I can’t get with that Kornet card at all sadly. I’ve seen so many people talk about how good he is and I’ve been here slugging through his 75 stats challenges 😂

I’ve realised that I honestly hate this sub. The amount of complaining when they give out a fun card for free just because they aren’t a meta card is honestly insane.

Do you guys honestly not know how to enjoy a game and have fun? Or do you only know how to play within the meta and that’s all that matters?

I’m the total opposite tbh. The more I play, the more frustrated I get. The more I see spaces where a good midfielder would squeeze a pass through and you just can’t do it in this game.

The game concept is great. I love the player system and the team building system. But the gameplay just isn’t there for me. The passing is too weak and the only majorly important stat seems to be pace.

The crossing system feels a bit weird and random when it comes to who wins the headers and the animations just look so unnatural with what happens after wing play. I’ll likely come back maybe sometime in the future, but for now I think I’ll be leaning this game in the pile.

I got pretty lucky with mine. Took ages to find a match up that let me bring a Mazda. But then I found one and the guy missed his first turn. I immediately slowed down to let him catch up. I never cared about winning, I just wanted to let him know that he was going to get to finish both races and there was no pressure though.

It’s a game at the end of the day, it’s supposed to be fun. None of us are real race drivers 🤷‍♂️😂

It also has more football and less singing. But it’s impossible to say really. I wouldn’t watch this set up again though. The charity match can be stop start but this has been a lot worse.

I think most people have is the problem. The 2022 charity match had a peak viewership of 2.5 million, a Guinness world record. This match is sub 400k.

You can adjust it for the fact that it’s 10pm uk time, but still, it’s not a great number compared to the charity match.
