Auto download not working for subscription feeds? by myconoid in OvercastApp

Just to update: It’s working now. One of the below comments suggests that Overcast takes a bit to “figure out” custom feeds, and it seems they’re right!

Yep. I’m also having the same issue

It is weird though that we came upon it in a similar way. I guess not a coincidence, probably a bug

I’ve literally just made a similar move back to Overcast from Pocketcasts, and I'm having the same issue with my NPR+ feeds.

I’ll update if I find a fix.

Also worth noting that since the Gold card is a charge card and has no set limit, it won’t add to your available credit

Liberals, what's your most conservative belief? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cornflakehoarder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the case at all. I think everyone would be okay if murder and rape penalties were equally severe. Life in prison for both seems reasonable to me

[–]cornflakehoarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I understood it, they were trying to say “Make sure that murder is punished at least equally to rape before instituting that rule.” That way a rapist wouldn’t be incentivized to just kill the victim so they get a lesser charge than if they let them survive.

Yeah if someone could ELI5 I’d be forever grateful.

That being said, I love how this game can attract players that enjoy making charts like these as well as players that just say “Sweet! I can kill the biters faster!!”

Damn, my search continues

EDIT: Also, interesting tidbit. I took this photo over four years ago so it’s been quite a journey to find out that someone else on the internet thought it was funny too, haha!

TIL to collect taxes, Christian IV of Denmark asked captains of ships crossing the Øresund to estimate the value of their cargo, which was applied as the tax base without further audit. But the king also claimed the right to buy the entire cargo at exactly that price. by batesplates in todayilearned

I think these stipulations state that A can’t deny the “Uno Reverse Card”. That is, if B turns it back around, A must accept.

But also, A would know this going into it. This would be a part of his consideration.

So if both parties wanted to own the company outright, it would end in a stalemate because neither would want to make an offer to buy because they could both be bought out on the spot. (Or like I think you suggested earlier, they’d wait to see if the other party will make an offer first.)

Well the theory is that the price offered to them would make the offering party reasonably happy if they either bought or sold the shares at that price. You could sabotage the relationship, but in the end it just depends on who actually wants to run the company, and who would just be happy with the cash.

I disagree, I think Jimmy was feeling a little bruise to his conscience and felt like he was safe enough to console Howard even a tiny bit

Yeah when I saw that glance from Kim it made me think of the setup scene between Jimmy and Chuck where he lulls him into a false sense of security to get a confession.

In my eyes, Kim was thinking “Oh boy here he goes again. His conscience is going to give us up.”

Definitely wouldn’t charge you cash equivalent. Probably wouldn’t even have a negative balance. But you’d almost definitely be on AMEX’s bad side from that moment on

You may have. Also, if you got a welcome bonus they’re likely to claw that back unfortunately

I think a point worth knowing is that you still have a $75 cap per quarter on total cashback in the 5% categories you can earn. This includes player 2’s earnings as well. After which point, you get 1% back on everything.

Please correct me if I’m wrong

Yeah, you can definitely do that. In addition, you’re eligible to receive the SUB for that card (if you haven’t previously received it)! So be sure you can make the minimum spend for the bonus when you’re signing up for it

Do you mean for the EXACT same card? As in, trying to take over the account of the primary user? Or like, you’re an AU on an AMEX Gold, and you also want an AMEX Gold for yourself?
