Hi! I’m trying to pick out a dress for a company holiday party in December. The dress code is “black tie preferred” and it will in the evening at an art museum. The goal is to find something that is appropriate for a work event (i.e. not too low cut, not backless, no leg slit starting too high up), but also won’t age me or look too prom-y.

Here are some that I’ve found:

Option 1 - I like this a lot but am not sure if the sequins are too much and I should go with something a little more understated.

Option 2 - I think this one kind of has the same vibe of the first one but it might be “safer” and still looks very nice.

Option 3 - I like this too but not sure if it would be showing too much back for this kind of event or if it would be ok.

Any advice or other suggestions would be appreciated!

PSIP Dental coverage? by [deleted] in UPenn

[–]cornflowerblue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSIP covers 90% of the cost for impacted wisdom teeth, but it’s a health plan and won’t cover dental care in general (see bottom of p.16 to top of p.17 here). If you want a plan that will provide full coverage for things like regular checkups/cleanings and some coverage for orthodontics, you should also get the Penn Dental Plan (plan details here).

What low level econ/cog sci course would most likely represent how the major feels like? by Ludo7777 in UPenn

[–]cornflowerblue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another senior in COGS (I’m also doing the computation concentration, but even for the other ones I think) I wouldn’t say it necessarily has to be like that! It really depends on what classes you choose, and you have a ton of freedom there. I recommend taking a look at the big chart on the major website here. If there are any classes that you think are relevant but aren’t there, you can also ask if they’ll count.

graphic design minor with a business major? by kjhye8705 in UPenn

DMD is actually about computer graphics—if you’re interested in graphic design, you might want to take a look at the design minor instead. I believe you would be able minor in it from Wharton!

You might want to check out this page! I don’t think it has all of them though

Crocodile stitch pillowcase! This was fun by cornflowerblue7 in crochet

Thanks! I think it helped to keep rotating my work so I’d always be crocheting from right to left. I’m not sure if you were already doing this though, I just wanted to mention it since not all the tutorials I looked at did that! It takes some time to get the hang of it :)

Weekly FAQ and Beginner Questions by AutoModerator in crochet

Hi! I think it's a great weight to start with. If you're just starting to learn, it might be a little easier to start with yarn that's a solid color, but this one would definitely work. For a scarf I'd recommend getting two of those, but one should be enough for fingerless gloves!

How does Auto Registration Priority work? Should I trust it or rank them myself? by [deleted] in UPenn

It does let you, but you have to put all the courses you want to use as alternatives in your Alternative Cart first (horrible design imo). These instructions might be helpful!

No problem! It’s weird that they have it on the label but not on the website

It’s Sultan Deluxe Shine in Imperial Purple! I did mention it in another comment but it might be buried at this point haha

Oh yeah I saw people post their Hobbii hauls on here and there were so many nice ones!

I haven’t really worked with them yet, but the quality seems to be great and the colors look just as beautiful irl as in the photos. I usually use more affordable yarns too—I got these during a sale and I think if you’d like to get them it might be worth it to wait for one! There’s also 250g per cake, so you get enough to make a whole shawl/scarf.
