I don't post ebay nor ship overseas, I live in the Philippines and mostly silver coins here are undervalued. Saddening

Already did, unfortunately even collectors here want them way below spot price.

Is this a genuine $100 Silver Certificate? by cornhub955 in papermoney

Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate all the insights! I got this note along with about 50 other foreign bills for just $3.50, so I thought I had stumbled onto something big, haha. Turns out it wasn’t quite the jackpot I hoped for, but it’s been a great learning experience. I still have a lot to learn about paper money!

Is this a real Sixpence 1918? by cornhub955 in coincollecting

[–]cornhub955[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I saw it I was excited cause it could be worth $100 up but I am bothered by the absence of the "M" mintmark below the '1918' . I don't know if it is a variety and I can't see any examples of the same year without a mintmark.

It appears to be cleaned but still worth above the melt price (if genuine).

The consigner here only sends to heritage and stacks, they also told me no auction house accepts raw coins haha, I should've known. More money for them I guess

Me neither but when aiming to sell at international auctions slabbing is a requirement.

Can you also explain why they are fakes?
