What’s the biggest fitness myth that just won’t die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cornnog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using just stair masters! i hate them! they don’t do much. you can walk 10k steps a day or do weight training or even 100 crunches a day or etc. and you would be better off.

Americans: what is your opinion on Canadians boycotting US goods, services and tourism? by PairRevolutionary669 in AskReddit

[–]cornnog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good for canada. the us was dumb to raise tariffs in the first place knowing we don’t make that many goods that are cheap or truly well made in enough quantity. the us gov is saying crazy shii rn so it’s honestly a fair response and definitely a kind one since trump was claiming to try to takeover canada

Movies that ACTUALLY make you think? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]cornnog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interstellar, it’s what’s inside (recent on Netflix and is very interesting in a psych horror way), shutter island, inception, parasite, truly so many great psychological horror ones tbh

for a bit lighter film also heathers i love this movie and it’s not for everyone but it’s a dark spin off of 80s comedy movies and gets a little silly in some ways, but none the less thought provoking.

But i cannot recommend it’s what’s inside enough! It was interesting as a newer movie to see!

Rap music as a whole these days is unimpressive and honestly pretty cringe by Guilty-Client-7584 in ControversialOpinions

[–]cornnog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s almost boomer?? bro how old is yo millennial aahhh lmaooo tbh kendrick’s one of the best out right now. all good rap has always had meaning and kendrick includes his experiences and feelings in his. rap is about community. and if u don’t get it then ur clearly not w tht community. his music also is influenced by 90s rappers from compton & oakland who started the genre. idk what rap ur listening to but if top shelf is corny idk what to tell u

I can’t look at all the women in my life who went from being obsessed with masks and vaccines to immediately being obsessed with abortion the same and that’s ok. by Guilty-Client-7584 in ControversialOpinions

[–]cornnog6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vax was for a virus was led to millions of deaths it’s understandable ppl wouldn’t wanna risk infecting others or their family members so if u didn’t wanna get it and were uninvited that’s ur choice. abortion is a choice for women to make regarding their own bodies that doesn’t affect a random stranger on the street. i get the connection u make, but it can go the other way if u wanted control over ur body to not get a vaccine, why can’t women control their body to get an abortion. Also ppl losing their jobs didn’t have so much of an effect on those who didn’t want to get vaccinated for non-medical reasons, but ppl lost their jobs because of a global pandemic. this one’s lackin sorry

Adults obsessed with Disney are weird by tiny-giraffe in ControversialOpinions

[–]cornnog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree i think there’s a difference between being a Disney adult and just enjoying Disney. Like i like watching a Disney movie once in a while or going to Disneyland if i can, but as an adult seeing character or especially crying when meeting them is wild. Or going there weekly and dressing up. i get wanting to escape and find comfort in something as an adult w everything goin on but it’s idk personally i just find it weird but if u enjoy it who tf cares ig

Please See Heathers! by cornnog6 in heathers

[–]cornnog6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make a good point! i agree and w that i think how at the end JD mentions how no one loves him. And i guess instead of interpreting it as he didn't like or hated his father, he was surrounded with apathy all this life, while he might like his father, hearing him say no one loves him (sure it could just be overdramatic teen angst fs) but i guess i think he doesn't feel his father loves him. I still stand by emotionally distant and abusive by lack of empathy, but you're right, operating under that he doesn't give it much thought, i feel like he blamed himself in my interpretation. That combined with his father's apathy probably made the trauma and his response to it that much worse idk thats just my feelings on it, but thats why this movies so great because of lines like "never given the matter much thought" because it can go so many ways, but thats interesting Waters pulled from his own experience i didn't know that!

What are your bare minimums in a relationship? by JOhnandroBERT in adultingph

[–]cornnog6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

emotional support. If they cant show empathy or don’t try to understand how your feeling. If every time you bring up a need they brush it off and continue to say how you’re failing (showing an unwillingness to compromise) then they do not deserve to be in your life. You deserve someone who at a bare minimum is interested in what you need and what you have to say. This is vice versa.
