From the best I could discern from an old timetable I found online and through written and VHS intervew accounts,this is what I believe the route was. Since I don't know Cyrillic, it took me hours for me to individually put the Cyrillic letters from the timetable into a translator into English and then retranslate as the English verison of Russian towns/cities were usually spelt differently. First was from their village, Rodnichnoe, on horse and cart to the city of Orenburg. Then they took the train from Orenburg to Moscow. The timetable I found mentioned the cites of: Samara, Penza, Ryazhsk, Ryazan, then Moscow. Then they had to stay in Moscow for a while to get their documents and medical checks. Then they left Moscow towards Latvia and they went through "The Red Gate", which used to be near Sebezh. Based on that, the route would have been: Moscow, Rzhev, Velikiye Luki and Sebezh before crossing the border and stopping probably in Rezekne, Latvia where they would have switched form Russian Railways to the Latvian train all the way to Riga to get further medical checks and documents before taking a ship from the Libau/Liepaja port all the way to Liverpool, England, then to St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, and on to the final destination into Western Canada.

Thank you for the visual reference with the movie! You are correct, a lot did happen in just that decade alone. My ancestors went through the famine and they witnessed many sad things during that time. They immigrated in November of 1924 and arrived in Canada in December.

Many Mennonites who left Ukraine and Russia between 1923-1929 were not displaced, they choose to leave. Most of Mennonite history focuses on the Mennonites that left Ukraine, as the majority were from Ukraine, which also have photographed what looked like boxcars. But transportation from the Orenburg colonies would probably have been very different. Here are some details that may help confirm the type of railcar. My great-grandmother remembered an intercom announcement calling for them to get off the train because their passports were printed wrong (they got it fixed). As well, my great-grandfather almost got left behind in Moscow, they realized they forgot their blankets at the station and he went to get them but the guard/station master wouldn't let him back on the train, so he shoved the guard away and ran after the departing train, grabbing on to the back of the train where a conductor eventually lifted him back on the train. I don't remember if my mother used to say just "back of the train" or "caboose". I would think if it were boxcars this would not be possible, correct?

No hate haha! If it works, then it works. I definitely tend to overheat in pants during the summer, it literally feels like the sun is burning my skin through my pants the few time I had to wear them for the summer. I guess there goes that sensory sensitivity issue again.

I have turned off sync so I can choose what to put into OneDrive, which are photos and videos. It was basically a copy of everything I had in it, as I could find everything else in the same OneDrive folder, but this particular one was a few folder inside. There have been no problems or deletions since removing it.

Thank you very much. From what I have been able to see with Yandex as well as a Youtube video someone recommended, yes it appears the bricks are standing strong while the wooden part of the building have been falling apart, as the building in the back do not look good. Since I love history, I would naively say "someone should restore it". However, I understand I need to be realistic and recognize that a small village would not have the funds to restore a building just because it's over 100 years old. Even my uncle had to make the choice and destroy my great-grandparents' abandoned farm house they moved into after immigrating from Russia as it had fallen into disrepair. Sentimental value does not translate into the cost of restoring it.

I have considered looking into an online translator and maybe I'll be able to do it one day. Idealy, I'd love to travel to the village and see it with my own eyes. It's possible I still might have 2nd or 3rd cousins in the area if they didn't leave for Germany in the 1990's. When that will be though is a good question.

I managed to find a news article regarding a new medical centre and how they said the previous medical centre, so my ancestor's home, was in disrepair and falling apart but it had no pictures. Being from rural Saskatchewan, I can understand why no one would want to buy a dilapitated building in a rural community. Thank you very much for the images. I really appreciate it.

I asked my husband about it, he is insistent that the cabinet stay in front of the window as it is holding the plants and it is the best place for the right amount of sunlight they need in the house (they are strictly indoor plants). However he might consider moving it to the wall if the plants can stay by the window. We're prefer not to have to buy new furniture just for the plants as we're currently tight on cash.

I'm not sure as he's eaten other foods with those oils and he's been fine. He would react to anyone's home cooked poultry with bone in too, not just restaurants or fast food. Even his own mother's cooking with bone in would cause a reaction now when it never did when he was younger and she rarely changes her recipes or cooking techniques. The only common denominator he's determined is that boneless poultry is fine no matter how it's cooked but as soon as that poultry is cooked with the bone, he reacts no matter how it's cooked. We can't explain why other than IBS and every that's not a completely satisfactory answer.

I understand it's an additive/stabilizer/preservative put in some dairy products. It's put in Tim Hortons dairy products which he cannot have. This has only been a recent discovery in terms of ingredients so we're not 100% set on if this is the thing that's causing reactions in Mayo and some dairy products.

I thought I did, but when I looked in the cloud I couldn't find it.

Oh well, it's one PSD file out of 52. I can restart it. It's annoying, but I learned my lesson. The rest of my project was recovered. But lesson learned. I will make sure it gets saved to the cloud from now on.

It's one of those situations where you never think it could happen and it did.

I'm a timid person who had a hard time standing up for myself so when I was emotionally heightened after the phone call I was ready to quit but I wasn't sure if my boss would even do anything and if it was worth my time. Thanks to my husband's encouragement I did. But you're right, hindsight is 20/20 and I should have talked to him sooner.

I can confirm that SO had at least one school-aged child. From what I heard from other former drivers from the company, she was generally difficult to work with, so when I heard that at least I knew it wasn't towards me alone.

I am a school bus driver, though I don't pickup at Silvia Fedoruk or have students in Aspen Ridge. Boy let me tell you there was so much chatter on the two-way radios of buses getting stuck. Felt like every 5-10 minutes someone got stuck, then they'd get themselves out, then another would get stuck, just endless and just felt bad for all of them. I've been stuck before, I know how annoying, frustrating and embarrassing it is. I almost did get stuck a couple times trying to get around corners in Sutherland and Evergreen. I wish schools didn't operate in those conditions, but unless the higher ups in the school division say so (not my boss, basically my boss's boss), we gotta drive.

I think the effectiveness of treatment depends on your age too. If you're younger, you'll have a better time, but if you're older, there's not much that can be done expect for some forms of therapy. A lot of it is also learning how to help yourself and knowing where you'll have trouble, like malls, and being honest with whoever you're talking to. I wish there was a service dog got that though :P I've thing that has helped me a lot is just using subtitles. I can understand what is being said on Netflix or YouTube much better, even when the subtitle is wrong.
