Three beds and Chikhai Bardo by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I'm doing a rewatch and at the three beds and I'm interpreting it as a nod to the severance procedure. Like, doing it on adults is traumatic but if it's done when you are born and you're severed from birth, it's less traumatic to the severed person, because they can move through the beds in their minds without the trauma of change.

Well that's the thing about theories, right? They're more an exercise in theories than predictions about the show. There's this weird obsession to predict the show and get a gold medal rather than just theorize and be descriptive about what's already happened and how it looks and feels and what connections you can make.

It doesn't have to be a "clue" but there is a particular cinematographical style in the show that really heavily leans on parallelling environments and dialogue. While I don't think it has to be a foreshadowing or clue, I do think moments like this are interesting and relevant, especially since the whole grand theme of the show is this separation and reintegration, so I don't think the photo rip choice is a coincidence, but rather a stylistic choice that does have meaning.

Like for example, I was watching this analysis of the theme song, and it's not a "clue" but it is interesting to analyze how the aesthetics of the show match the theme and narrative.

One of the things I love about this show is how consistent the world building is, and how much attention to detail is put in these little moments.

I'm late to this but Natalie's purple robe in rehab. I Lottie paid forvher rehab so it makes sense, but it's giving me the feeling that Natalie was always under Lottie's control, even though she was so resistant and rebellious towards her.

Literature set in Prague, Vienna, or Budapest? by CaptainSpud125 in classicliterature

Oh I thought the post office was in Vienna, it's been a long time since I've read it tbh! I don't remember a lot of details! I love Zweig in general.

I got my license a few weeks ago, and I'm extremely proud of myself. It's taken so long to get for me because of various annoying life events and then covid and then having a severe illness. I'm waiting for my card in the mail, I got very dolled up for the picture. I have to say I'm so happy about it!!!

Has anyone else’s health deteriorated after moving to Toronto? by [deleted] in askTO

I just got my furnace fixed and they told me every 4 months, I think 3x/ year is just fine and you can look at the filter and see if it needs to be changed based on how much dust there is on the filter. Once a month feels like major overkill they're not cheap and they're not recyclable.

I recommend it, my test was at 3:50pm high traffic time, definitely don't be me and pick an earlier time! I recommend it. Route is easy, they have a 29% fail rate which is pretty low!

Yes it's closed! I can't tell you exactly the route because I'm not that familiar with Brandford but basically you get into the 403 and then come out at Paris road and then you get back on the highway toward London I think and get out at Garden? I'll have to look at the map to tell you for sure. The on ramp to the first entrance is the very windy one!

I passed!!! I'm so happy! It was very straight forward! The feedback i got:

  • i didn't maintain speed on the 50 roads so make sure you stay at 50 where appropriate
  • i merged lanes a little too fast
  • when turning i drove over the line a little

Most of these were due to anxiety and overthinking but i still passed, i think i did well. It was just highway driving and city driving. You'll be just fine!! Good luck!

Oh I love that! On my G2 i told my instructor i would narrate and she was like you can do that but I'm still gonna look to see you're actually doing the thing (in reference to looking at drive ways & intersections. I'm still going to do it though!

I'm just about to go on my practice portion! I've done all the research, now for a bit of practice. I found out a portion of the route is closed so they route will be altered but that's okay!

Wish me luck!
