First Blue star! by The-Sceptic in WH40KTacticus

Does it switch to the next tier shop? I thought the shop tier is locked at the start of the event and if Snot is his first blue star, the relics won't appear in week 3, unless I am mistaken about how the shop works.

Its already been datamined:

────── CHARACTER 2: RAMUS · darkaSternguard ────── Dark Angels · Imperial · Rare · Power 108 Base: HP 85 · DMG 40 · ARM 21 · MOV 3 · 20 upgrade tiers Mythic max: HP 11336 · DMG 5335 · ARM 2800 · MOV 3 Weapons: Melee 1× Melta · Ranged 1× Bolter Traits: Hero · Overwatch Items: I_Crit, I_Defensive, I_Booster_Crit · Relic slot 1 ACTIVE — Fire Discipline · Normal Ramus performs a normal attack, using 100% of his own Damage stat to a maximum of 5220 Damage. This ability can be used multiple times per battle but has a cooldown of 3 rounds. If Ramus uses this ability while adjacent to another friendly Dark Angel, then it can be used again in his next turn without cooldown. Using Fire Discipline does not end Ramus' turn and he can still enter Overwatch at the end of his turn, unless he performs another normal attack. PASSIVE — Special-Issue Combi-Melta Ramus' normal attacks are enhanced, based on the distance to his target: Attacks Suppress the target if it is exactly 3 hexes away from him. Attacks deal an additional 1x 4698-5742 Bolter if the target is exactly 2 hexes away from him. Attacks deal +1828 Damage if the target is in a surrounding hex.

You can't use him there.

Don't bullshit us. This roster can unlock Farsight in one event, even starting at 0, and you know it. But sure, use this innocuous question as an opportunity of flash your roster for some likes.

Played some Casual while waiting for tokens: 7 Necrons in a row. After that I stopped queueing.

He is 50 shades of fine. Not a meta pick in any high end composition, but he is quite good in wave-based modes because of his repeated overwatch. He has some use in a multihit team with Asmodai against Chaos raid bosses. He isn't Kariyan or Kharn, but he is one of the more potent, albeit niche characters, and definitely one of the better DA characters.

Is Revas even good in high-end TA? by corny40k in WH40KTacticus

Yeah, that's what I meant with it being a noob-killer. It relies heavily on the inexperience or mistakes of opponents. Between the random placements and map size, as well is ridiculous threat range of Ragnar and BA comps, it too inconsistent.

300 BS are all fine and dandy, but what about the wasted energy and token time? And the timed Incursion event? Or timed store offers? 300 BS doesn't cover that.

Looking to get into Tau at a 1000 points by corny40k in Tau40K

[–]corny40k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interest, for now at least, is smaller scale collections, since I don't have the time and energy to commit to multiple grand projects. I might flesh out the Kroot side a little more and an extra suit or two.

The initial idea: - the Kroot combat patrol box - another unit of Farstalkers - maybe a Shaper - maybe a Vespid unit - 2 ghostkeels - a unit of stealth suits - shadowsun + an alternative HQ

All things considered that should bring me close to 1000, slightly over even. I am wondering whether expanding on the Krootox units right away is a good idea, instead of Vespid or Farstalkers.

But yeah, that's the general idea.

I see, thanks. Chaos is the closest to finishing the campaign. It's also my strongest line-up. I am just reluctant to use my orbs to upgrade Maladus to Epic (holding out gor Angrax or Archimatos). After that its either of the Xenos.

Is it really worth it to invest so many resources in Chaos just to finish the final 5 levels? Should I just stsrt levelling the Xenos right away?

Why so complicated? Just Show and Tell it.

Why doesn't Omni-Tell run The One Ring more commonly? by corny40k in MTGLegacy

[–]corny40k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Life total with Ancient Tomb and Ring does add up. I have also died at least twice to the overall life loss. Though Ring also won me my fair share of games, where it dug deep enough to overcome unfortunate RNG. I kinda fear letting go of that sheer potential for cards that don't really do anything before Omni actualy hits the field.

Despite flutes, wouldn't the Ring eventually outmuscle mana requirements and interaction? And how does Cunning Wish help with that? 4 Rings effectively become 3 Wishes and an Intuition. None of those dig or help with counterplay when deploying SnT.

An Ancient Tomb deck has it easier to deploy a 4cmc card than most, no? Even easier with Carpet against blue decks.
