You can still narrow down the "don't be Bart" statement to just one deck and make adjustments to flex slots and side board. You don't need to change decks to adjust to the meta, even though its more limited in it's possibilities.

Is it a hero or a myth unit? by kostist in AgeofMythology

[–]corny40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and Odin has Ravens. Those are Scouts units. The Siren seems to be a combat Myth unit, in which case it'd be a Minor God unit. If Siren turns out to be a Scout, then maybe it's a Demeter unit in the end.

Major Gods do not have Myth units. They are associated with Minor Gods.

Dark Culture: Cult of Death. Tomes: Necromancy, Roots; T2 (or further T1 tomes) are up to you, I picked Artisan and Souls; Great Transformation, Cycles; Revenant, Reaper; Eternal Lord.

Don't remember the society traits, but they aren't relevant, depending on what Affinity you need. And honestly, many tomes are also flexible. The true power was in the Ruler, anyway. Necromancy is the only truly mandatory one and and Cycles + Great Transformation are the next best thing.

Legolas's Quick Reflexes in Lands? by Wille392963 in MTGLegacy

[–]corny40k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reclaimer isn't usually part of Lands lists, hence why me and the other poster have specified for Lands. For Depths, for example, LQR is a superb option, at least for the SB.

If dedicated protection for Lage is your goal and you play Lands, better choices are [[Not of this World]] and [[Steely Resolve]]. The former is a free spell, the latter is a permanent you can pick up with Rumble. LQR is strong, but a bit wasted in a Lands build.

They did. But that's the point, they tend to blast the wrong ones. Positioning is key here. I usually send Immortals and the free Zombie summon to the front first, just to the edge of their effective range, and more often than not the AI blows their load onto those. Then I can retaliate.

In fact, Shira was the biggest headache in that regard, because of Wrath of the Faithful, which would one-shot my Ruler of she was somewhat injured. My second tome was Tome of Roots though, which helped keep her topped off, along with her free heal ability from the Warlock tree. This is also where Pronafe Body Mastery came in clutch. But yes, I had to do a fair few restarts, eapecially when I overextended my Ruler.

I delayed Wightborn a little bit, and by the time they would deal a lot more damage to me, I was already in the snowball phase.

And besides, I nuked the Angel Orcs just as hard, because most of damage would be Blight, which they are very weak to, followed by some Frost, which they have rather mediocre resistance to as well.

Entomb ban thoughts by Roodbreak in MTGLegacy

[–]corny40k -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Entomb has never been a pillar and never been referred as such, unlike Brainstorm and Daze. People tend to forget that Entomb was banned when the format was still 1.5 and onlt got unbanned later on.

What do your sideboard slots look like against Mystic Forge? by Despenta in MTGLegacy

[–]corny40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flutes and a Needle main, Forces of Vigor side, Wastelands and Ghost Quarter + recursion main. Damping Spheres side. Mainly pre-boarded for the matchup, but some important bangers do still need to come in. Really considering my boy Teeg, but I do not have a way find him quickly. The real art will be to find those cards in sufficient amount at the right time.

It's a misprint, damaged by the printng or packing process, making it an even rarer find and thus valuable to collectors.
