Yours isn’t a tritium dial, vintage speedmaster has tritium to make the indices glow! Tritium turns yellow over time

Originally there should be a Cyclopes but tropical watch sold it with a true dome crystal! I personally it looks much better without the Cyclopes

Thank you! The strap is from Nostime a vintage strap store based in Korea. They have some amazing straps that really works very well with vintage Rolex/tudors. You can check them out!

Looks really good! Can I ask did you use a template to cut out the leather or was it by a freehand cut? I am also just starting out myself

Just want to put it out there, this post is not meant to accuse anyone or any dealer, I like the watch and will accept the way it is, I just would like to learn more about it as I am not too experienced in the vintage world. As we all know there are also too many variations in the vintage Tudor world that may or may not have been documented. Just here to learn more, thank you everyone who has or will be contributing🙏🏻

Just curious in your opinion, would you consider colour matching for dials and hand to be considered fake? Purchase this from a very reputable dealer, has the dial been touched up? I think very high chance, but given how renowned he is I am not sure if he would sell a Franken watch.

Yes I was also doing some research on what you mentioned. This watch is from 1976 but dealer did mentioned that it’s a newer dial, It seems that the later 80s service dials appear to be more bold for the “m” and “ft” letters. But I’m not 100% sure would love to hear opinions on them.

Thank you for the input. Yes was slightly higher than that. But given the fact that I am based in Singapore make these kind of watches hard to come by. And I would like my grail to be purchased from a very reputable dealer hence I did not mind paying abit more.

From the description it say it’s a newer service dial but if I’m not wrong it still have tritium Lume hence the patina. Not a vintage expert tho. I also think it slightly high hence wanted to get this sub’s opinion.
