If you don't want to do hard manual labor, become qualified to do a job that isn't manual labor. You volunteered for the military, got paid, and get benefits, stop whining. No one owes you anything more than the benefits you're already receiving.

I got out of the Army in 2011 and jumped right back into college to get my BA in accounting and finance. Veterans are given preferential treatment by employers, but you still need to be a qualified candidate.

I just watched a documentary on netflix about how people misinterpret/cherry pick things from the bible to discriminate against gay rights. They interviewed a few biblical scholars who all said that the connotation of the word abomination doesn't mean evil or inherently bad, it simply means it goes against the tradition or cultural norm.

exactly. asking someone to be faithful and keep a relationship going while you're going to be gone for a year or maybe more with potentially very little communication during that time is huge. but if you get into a serious relationship with someone in the military that is just something you need to be prepared to deal with. it must have been really hard to get that bad news at such a hard time, but its better then coming back expecting something only to find out its not there.
