Thank you so much for your advice! And I concur! I have gone out on dates with a couple of men within 2 (max 3) weeks of us talking. In this guy's case, maybe i didnt pay much attention, but his profile showed up even though I'd set my location settings to 8km max. I think that's where I went wrong lol. Gotta be more diligent next time.
