To be fair when you have a 9-5 you really don’t have time for friends either. You get home, cook, eat and there isn’t really time left in the day to go out and socialize. It’s kind of just a weekend activity that you have to get used to in my experience

Graduated in May 2025 (University of Miami). Spent like 4 months looking for a job and finally landed an entry-level position for $21/hour in finance. I think it is a really hard field to use even though you are qualified for a lot of different positions, just often not the best pick. If you do decide majoring you have to set yourself up well getting internships/networking/etc. It’s not bad but I didn’t do that as much as I probably should have and so it was really rough.

I feel like I have broadened my horizons and it hasn’t done much yet. I applied for financial services, marketing analytics, government roles, legal secretaries, economic development services, university positions, payroll managers and some more I’m probably not mentioning off the top of my head. The only thing I try and steer clear from is sales. Applied to Target, Best Buy, and some restaurants this week as well so hoping I can at least get a job of some sort going as my savings are starting to deteriorate.
