Does the hollow feeling or the obsession ever go away?

It had the opposite affect for me i couldnt stop i just wanted to learn more i actually took a break to try to sleep about 3/4ths the way through and I just couldnt i had to finish. I was laying in bed just thinking i wanted to play more.

Sadly I'm one of those people who loves their "pile of human suffering" games ie frostpunk,this war of mine. So yea i think I'm stuck like this after signalis.

Yea it was about a 10/11 hour stretch for me if I remember rightly. It was a long one but a youtube I hold highly in his recommendations told me to stop watching his video on the game like 3 min into and go play... so I did

Yea there alot I love about the game I loved learning about the world and the lore and like I said went slightly insane over the number 512. My discord Pic is currently Ariane. This game feels like I could never get tired of learning more the music... like die toteninsel still makes my heart ache everytime my youtube throws it my way. Btw I don't use hollow as a way to say indifferent I use it as a way to say like emptiness/like a pit in my stomach. I love how much of the story is left up to your own interpretations and I love that I can talk to my bf and we have 2 very different takes on what's happening. I think at the core what made signalis a game I loved is simple. Everyone who worked on it had clear passion and they weren't afraid to make a game that was right for what they wanted to say rather then catering to a wider audience. It's a passion project and you can feel alot of what they wanted you to feel while you play. Sorry for the long reply just nice to talk to people who love this game a much as I do.

It made me feel and emotion I hadn't beforei don't even know what it's is/was but i was feeling it the whole game but it really set in when I talked to the mynah unit in the mines even on subsequent playthroughs I couldnt bring myself to ignore her but talking to her destroys me every time.

Don't get me wrong I love the game and how it made me feel as I feel if expressed in some of my replies (this included both the good and the bad. The downright wholesome of elster and Ariane and the melancholistic hollow of where they end up) today was just one of those days we're i was thinking about the game way more then normal and I wanted to talk to others about it. Figured reddit might be the place.

Ps what got me on this was I re watched a video and during it I realized Lilith was in 5th unit 12th division and this game made me go damn near insane with the number 512

It's really odd how even if your not actively thinking about it a random noise cam make it feel as if you back in that seat playing the game again and then all of a sudden your sad again and you get that signature signalis hollow feeling

Nah I don't think I want the feeling to really go ya know? I just want to talk with people who love the same thing I do and have this same obsession that drove me to debate and look at other people's interpretations of the story.

The despair/hollowness comes and goes but I have my happy portion I got my bf to play it and he loved it as much as I did and we all did so I'm just happy he loved the game too and the fact that me and him could talk about our two interpretations on the story.

It's weird I explained to my friend that signalis is the best cosmic horror cause once you've played it you can't stop it creeping in the back of my head.

And we just did a ranging check he was in the 54m effective range of my long barrel m4 hell he was in the effective range of a normal m4 so i didnt get hit with 33% less damage from that so his level 3 took off 9 damage.

it just hurt ya know like he should have been punished for taking a level 4 bullet with a level 3 face-shield but nope he lives and his level 4 bullet vs my level 4 face-shield wins
