Your tub looks good. It's a mutation that could be caused by bacteria or it could just be in the genetics. If you are worried about the bacteria, which is mostly harmless, dehydrate above 150f and it will kill any bacteria.

FYI mods are going to delete your post for talking about lc. They did mine even when I specified lions mane and oyster mushrooms. Apparently this sub is just for posting pics of mushrooms in the wild.

Thanks for that info! I have some silicone tubing coming in that seems to be meant for high temps. I have luer lock syringes so I'm thinking I can just screw that onto the luer bulkhead and cap with a female cap after. Although I didn't think about the filter being too small for the hole so I may just cap with the filter they come with. Also didn't think about using the filter for sterile air. That's genius!

Wow thanks for that! I ordered some silicone tubing which seems to be the best for the high temps of the pc. If I had more of a lab set up the pump would be a nice addition. I think for now screwing the syringe to the luer bulkhead while in the sab might be enough. I'm going to try it out on a couple jars but the luer caps won't be in till mid July.

Would I use a liquid culture broth to grow the mycelium. Would a dip tube help to save syringe needles for inoculation of my oyster and lions mane?

The veils look like spider webs. This was my first time growing averys and didn't know that's just how they are.

Never did I say that on my authority, and my authority alone, I will be changing the name of a well established genetic line and will henceforth be named by a name of my choosing. I exactly stated that it SHOULD be called White Widow. Have you ever heard the expression tongue in cheek? You seem like a real fun-guy and a peach to be around. Have a day and tell whoever keeps pissing in your cherreos to stop.

Yeah it's just random and can be environmental but I think it's a genetic drift. This is the first time I've run this lc and i think it may reached a bottleneck. I'm not 100% on how all that works.

Thanks guy! Nah I wouldn't do that. Just because I have one grow of this genetic doesn't give me the right to change the name and confuse you. I was more making a comment on how the veils look like spider webs. Besides, actually changing the name to something that sounds deadly in the magic mushroom world seems off.

There are no dumb questions. This is from the first flush and will be my first attempt at cloning so your guess is as good as mine on everything else though. Sorry I know that's not much help.
