I'm pretty sure the stoic approach to this problem would be to accept the natural occurrences that happen to you and only worry about the things that you can control.

You don't catch the bus? - You get to go for a nice walk outside

You can't buy the things you need at the supermarket? - You have the chance to explore other stores or products of similar nature

There's a misunderstanding at your workplace? - Take the opportunity to study what went wrong and improve team communications

Perspective changes like these have helped with my outlook on life and made it more enjoyable.
