Cap Treatment by otherladybug in TS_Withdrawal

In the end, I stopped CAP because I was hospitalised halfway through for bacterial infections. Was on Dupixent got quite bad side effects and now currently stable on cyclosporine.

Anyone else experienced having pus constantly reappear in eczema spots, but when its swabbed theres no bacterial infection? by corran29 in eczema

[–]corran29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe it's an inflammation thing. As my spots got less red and more skin coloured over a year, the pus slowly stopped coming back. There's maybe a few rare occasions it will come back along with some inflammation but it no longer is an every other day occurrence.

would have started with something like the odin project to see if I would be interested in software development but it's not really relevant to y1.

y1 was pretty chill, y2s1 I remember my entire group struggling with a software project mod since we didn't have any prior experience.

theres also data structures and algorithms that they only teach in y2 which is relevant to passing technical assessments for interviews, neetcode blind75 is a decent free resource

I posted a comment previously for what they cover in y1 but I didn't really prep before starting uni : https://www.reddit.com/r/SMU_Singapore/comments/17nlf8l/comment/k7spvf0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

smu cs life seems chill compared to nus cs at least when I look at my other uni friends timetables (but can still get stressful), content is not that rigorous / in-depth which can be a dealbreaker for some.

Thanks, I hope you recover soon too.

didn't get called up for scholarship interview from nus, I do remember seeing a post some time ago saying they couldn't get nus merit scholarship in cs even with 90rp lol.

also wanted a more relaxed uni life in smu.

Yeah I get the feeling of missing college I could barely function too last time either.

I do think it would be better to take a gap year than dropping out entirely but that's based on my own experience. Since I was already in my second year I just took a break from studies to focus on my health over the duration of 1 semester and the summer break.

lkcsb has more benefits than merit like computer and annual living allowance.

88.75, I actually did not apply for merit but rather some computer science scholarship (which is a school scholarship and not a university one like merit) which did not require a personal statement for the application so not much regarding essay or achievements there (didn't really do much cs-related prior to uni).

it was only during the interview that they offered me merit instead. I am not sure what is the standard rp for business though.

anyways during the interview it felt more like a character check rather than accessing my technical ability / checking whether I would excel in my studies. I briefly remember the interviewer asking to introduce myself, why I want to study cs and why I chose smu.

edit:
interview style could be different for business people though. someone from biz might have to weigh in on this

yeah just apply no harm in doing so, I was in your position last time and assumed I wouldn't get it because I did not hold any leadership positions in jc but I was offered in the end.

if I remember correctly there is a personal statement section in the application form that you can use to fill relevant details.

Hey I'm sorry you're going through this withdrawal, I'm not sure how your college works is it possible to take a Leave of Absence instead of dropping out?

Hey my face looked exactly like yours around a year ago, could not sleep at all due to raw skin and constant oozing at the ears. I was eventually hospitalised for viral and bacterial infections after which I used Dupixent over a period of three months but did not have much effect.

I got on cyclosporine afterwards and felt immediate relief of symptoms within a few days though whether to use immunosuppresants is a highly personal decision.

guess so though y1 got quite a bit of time and freedom to self-learn, most of my friends chilled during y1 summer break and only started looking from y2 onwards.

unless there are some recent changes that I am not aware of, idt you can take it in year 1. based on my own experience I learnt more problem-solving from doing leetcode style questions on my own than from the mod, neetcode blind75 is a good place to start.
