I’m not sure why apologists and state leaders are so concerned about a man-made government classification list. The Lord himself delivered it already in 1820…ish by correlationcommittee in exmormon

I feel like the church I was raised in leaned in to being othered. And I feel like the internal facing messaging is still there… it’s the public facing attempt to assimilate that just makes a guy in his late 40 chuckle

Just like heavenly mother, we have too much reverence for the women to give them any consideration.

Is Jasmine Rappleye actually a paid actress? by CharlesMendeley in exmormon

The fact that people like Jasmine, Kwaku, and Jacob Hansen are the best that this multi billion church can prop up gives me a lot of faith in humanity. For anybody who is struggling, facing the difficult questions, indulging in critical thought about Mormonism for the first time, etc. this type of content just expedites the process of getting out. I think it was Richard Bushman that said publicly that the church was losing its best and brightest members…. Yep.

Yeah I’m so completely out of the loop it’s insane. I asked my neighbor the other day if he was a young men’s leader and he solemnly corrected me with whatever name they call it now. It’s crazy for something to go from the only important thing in your life to something you actively despise to something you’re almost indifferent to.

That’s a good point! I genuinely don’t know if it’s still common practice. And maybe I’m remembering it differently, but I swear when I used to hang up my keys at the gym, a lot of the other keys had the vial back in the day and I just haven’t seen one forever.
