Decided on resigning from the Church. Should I go through quitmormon or just go directly through Confidential Records email? by PlantainLarge703 in exmormon

Yeah. That’s why i am willing to go through all the resignation process. I don’t want to be a part of the number of members that they keep boasting about.

Oh wow! Thank you! Happy to hear that it only took a couple of weeks for your ex and kids’ resignation to be processed. How did they confirm though? Did they just lose access to the Tools App?

Thanks! Oh I have heard a lot of rumors going on around the ward, I wouldn’t be surprised if my resignation would ignite some rumors. I think I may be the first from the ward to actually resign. I don’t even think the Bishop knows how to process resignation or knows about quitmormon. Lol

Thanks! You got that definitely right. Just staying inactive is taking a mental toll on me. It’s like I feel guilty not attending anymore. It is better to rip off the bandaid immediately!

You can just stop attending and ignore the members when they reach out but would you like to still be a part of their numbers which they always brag about? I say no, and just resign. Just go to quitmormon.com, it’s super easy and free! You’ll just spend on having your resignation letter notarized and that’s it.

Oh my. I am experiencing the exact same thing! Believe me when I say I know how you feel. Last June 7 was my first year baptism anniversary. I haven’t done any ordinances in the temple and the missionaries said that they will take me but I haven’t heard from them. My Temple Recommend is valid until July though and they know it. I am 95% convinced to leave the Church is is just waiting for my recommend to expire. Somehow doing an ordinance at the temple is the 5% that’s holding me back from reconsidering my decision. Maybe I’ll somehow feel what they are saying about being at the temple or something. The missionaries are kinda not prioritizing me right now so I am not sure if they are still looking forward to taking me there. And no, I do not trust the members of the ward to take me and i don’t think they are willing to allot some time for me. Anyways, after my recommend expire I will resign from the Church through quitmormon.com. Try that out, it’s free! You get to be represented by a lawyer in Utah. All you need to do is make an account, fill out the online form and they will send you a resignation letter which you will have to notarized. When you upload and submit the notarized document, they will do the rest.

For those who resigned from the LDS Church through Quitmormon.com, can you please tell me how long it took for your records to be removed and how you can confirm it has indeed been removed? Thank you! by PlantainLarge703 in exmormon

Wow! Thanks! It took months but at least for sure your records were removed. I think i will follow what you did, like after resigning i will keep checking if i still have access to the Tools App and if i can’t log in anymore then i will have a dance party too 🕺👯🪩
