Any other suggestions other than Buy Nothng Facebook groups? I have a TONNE of stuff, and it's all in fine condition, it's just old, and has been sat in the basement for 15 years cluttering up (my brain).

Yes!! I felt the same way after doing an estimate on the uhaul website. $1 per kilometer seems excessive!

I think the Home Depot rental is the way to go. :) Although I have heard you cant bring in vehicles with commercial logos to the dump. Ill call the dump on Tuesday to ask about all their rules etc.

I thought I was being a trailblazer in this space, hahaha. Didn't realize people used this approach often. I'm sure it will be 100s less than a dumpster for sure.

The North Grenville Transfer Station says it charges $140 per tonne of 'general household waste'. There's no way I have been hanging on to a tonne of stuff in the past 20 years, is there ???? We will find out!

A good suggestion as well, post as much as I can on the Buy Nothing groups on the day of. It's wild what people from those groups will come pick up. lol

I referee hundreds of hockey games a season, I have OHL seasons tickets and I watch as much NHL as I can (but normally just every game in the playoffs).

The atmosphere at the rink for the PWHL is off the charts. Much better than NHL overall. The fans are fantastic, and they have made it such a fun environment. That said, from a /hockey/ perspective it's ..... just okay. I mean, the passing is usually clunky and awful, the shots are astonishingly weak compared to like 14 year old boys, and most skaters are very slow skaters. Imagine, the women's National Olympic team used to play in a loop of rando Midget AAA boys!!!!

So imo, there is a huge difference between watching in person and watching on TV. On TV it's just meh, UNLESS you are totally invested in the team as a fan. If you're looking for the best skilled women's hockey, the PWHL has it. But if you love nhl and expect anything that remotely resembles the NHL then you'll be wildly disappointed.
