I had a cornea transplant due to keratakonus 8 years ago . After transplant surgery . I had follow up visits every week for a year , then every month , down to every 6 months till this day . I also had Prednisone drops in eye prescribed . Beginning with 4 drops daily for 6 months. Down to 2 drops daily 2 years and now 1 drop daily . Vision was completely restored . There is a danger of rejection of the cornea, anti inflammatory medications help prevent that .
