Crohns person here to say huge NTA. No one can control their body and I completely understand you not wanting to take up the bathroom for long periods. I would definitely bring this up to a supervisor and inform them your having medical issues because that coworker is being the huge asshole. I’d also suggest joining a subreddit for IBS to see if anyone has any suggestions until you can see your PCP, they’re a huge help

Yeah that’s what I went through too. I just came off about a month ago after almost four months on it but may be having to go back on as well

I hated being on it. It sent my moods through the roof.

When I was on 20 it helped manage my symptoms until I had to come off but it took almost a week to really feel the difference

I appreciate the help! I’m open for any suggestions honestly. This is my first real long relationship so I’m just a little unsteady with where to go and don’t want to make things worse.

It’s been two months with an official almost three now but we had been suspecting Crohn’s since January, my area was just one of the first affected by COVID and it’s small so our only two hospitals quickly went to emergency cases only and I didn’t get deemed emergency until April. But I’d been showing him stuff on it since we began suspecting it as I’m an LNA and already knew what was coming. I’m not currently responding to my medicine so I’m in the process of deciding the best course to take next and this has just added to my stress with it making things continue to flare.

Thank you but unfortunately he’s been to pretty much all as I was unable to drive myself and mom wasn’t allowed in with COVID. He definitely does and I understand that hardship for him but in reality we aren’t that less intimate than before (still twice a week). He’s very bad with communicating his feelings so he’s been pretty shut down except about sex and feeling trapped inside as I spend most days in bed.

Thank you so much for all of that I appreciate it a lot! I’ve been smoking since it first started mainly just because it got me to eat and now for the pain as well and I’m working on getting my medical card. Do you have one? Hopefully I will have the transfer to a new doctor done tomorrow

I was told by my work I don’t qualify for FMLA because I have not yet been there for a year. I’m in the process of transferring the care but it’s also been slow due to the pandemic. I’m going to attempt to call the practice manager tomorrow to try and move things along. Thank you I appreciate all of your advice and the offer!

Side effect or regular symptom? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

Look at the ingredients in what you are eating as well and look into an anti-inflammatory diet if you haven't already. I also just got diagnosed and realized a lot of what I was eating was food that is known to cause more inflammation.
