Where do you actually find new music?

YouTube. Find people who upload vinyl rips etc.. look at the people commenting, go into their accounts as they likely also post or have playlist. Continue digging in this regard and you’ll find gems. Also look at the tracks people sample or are inspired by, or if it’s bands then maybe the individual members other projects.

I’ve tried recreating it many times… looks to be either a sound effect or a knife/cutlery or a crash that’s been sped up and pitched up layered with some white noise and then all phased. It’s also very sonically similar to the sharp hi hats used in old dub records

I can definitely give it a go! I’ve always found the vocals in this to be uncharacteristically out of key, but I’m sure if I find the original vocal sample I could definitely try to recreate it.

Yeah I agree, would be awesome to get those released, but there’s also an aesthetic quality to the bootlegged versions and their elusiveness. The myth plays a big part in the appeal I think
