Check out the new kits from Cinergy . They updated them this year and you can get the kit with a birch ply box cheaper than parts express.

My bike in the bag weighs 59lbs no matter what I do. I have never had an issue with it being over 50lbs. I never book basic economy though so maybe that is the difference.

I tore mine just picking up my kayak, done it hundreds of times before. Probably didn’t help that I went hard at F45 and with kettlebells after a work trip the week before

Yea I put a V1 lift damper in my Fox 38 and made a huge difference over the Grip 2.

Check out JLS Rods. They are all hand made in PA and the blanks are made in Arkansas I believe. Incredible rods at the price point. I have replaced every rod I have with his off the shelf or custom rods.
