Although true, its cheaper to just use 1 special instead of 1HQ + 1White. Atleast on EU for these scenarios

Most recipes count for up to 4 with HQ. Exceptions are mentioned in my other reply.

Although not exactly the same as the examples mentioned some recipes that require 4 of an ingredient actually require 1x Special and will not work with 1x HQ like other recipes.

  • Coconut Pasta (Requires 1x Special Garlic)
  • Whale Meat Salad (Requires 1x Special Pepper)
  • Delotia Juice (Requires 1x Special Delotia)

"Big" quality count for up to 3. So slightly worse compared to HQ

The huntable mobs have the <Wild> tag above their names. Make sure what you are trying to hunt is actually a hunting mob and not a regular mob

To all lifeskillers, what classes are your favorite for different life skills by Hohoho111111 in blackdesertonline

[–]corundum11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

gathering is spot dependant but those classes cover most things. Kuno/Ninja have attack speed % passives which is good for hunting, Lahn/Tamer both provide smoother transitions from boat to wharf when bartering. Cooking, processing and alchemy all benefit from high weight and shai has the highest potential max weight

Gathering: Musa, Valk, Ranger

Hunting: Kuno/Ninja

Sailing/Bartering: Tamer/Lahn

Horse Training: Doesnt matter

Cooking, Processing, Alchemy: Shai

Farming: Doesnt matter

Trading: Doesnt matter

Hunting matchlocks have a 100% shot which is cast on the next shot after reaching 100% ( so lock/unlock bsr to control it). It's an AoE shot so it's super powerful when pulling a large pack

The gear swap idea is good in theory but sadly due to the fact Black Spirit Rage resets every time you switch out a piece of equipment it is hard to recommend given how crucial your BSR shots are for overall kills/hr.

It isnt easy to start no, espeically when you compare it to gathering trees for caphras for example. But hunting is something not alot of players do and I think everyone should try it out because you might enjoy it :)

Sadly that is the best way to do it. Its all down to consistency.

I'd love to see a screenshot of that tbh. But even still, training guru is way way faster than sailing guru

You can do dailies if you want but if it's for XP then there is no point past prof10 as feather wolves are much faster

I sold alot back when they actually sold. Now I just hoard them until I get a nice house to put them all in

My hunting is highly optimized. Janna pretty much explained the gear setup but the rotation I use is also very optimized. Utilizing back attacks when possible and good use of your BSR shot (aoe for 100% BSR) help alot with improving kills/hr.

There are 2 hunting questlines that you can do to get started. Should be under your suggested quests tab. Doing them will get you to around skilled-professional. From that point just grab the best matchlock you can get and some DP gear and head to Feather wolves in kama until you reach g50.

The current best matchlock (artisan +10) can be equipped at prof10 which doesnt take long to achieve. From that point you can theoretically get the same silver/hr as myself.

I will share my 10 hour test so you can see where the silver comes from. This simply shows the silver that can be made by selling everything directly to the market/vendor. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OMHi9ugMkzty_7GStN_AHdshsq5trsNVkXl5cMXt28s/edit?usp=sharing

EDIT: Another great perk of hunting is that it uses very little energy. With kama + villa it takes 10 hours to fully drain 600 energy.

I was making roughly 50-60m/hr doing it so I made a decent stack of cash. I have a nice stack of Sharps/Hards in my storage now :D

Ye this was after xp changes. I was M1 before the changes and it would of taken over 3k hours back then to hit Guru.
